Office 2010 Beta FAQ

If you want to try out the beta version of Microsoft Office 2010 but aren’t sure where to start, PCWorld has a handy FAQ just for you. Have fun!

Quote:
Because this is the last available-to-all milestone for the new suite,Microsoft's geared up to get the beta into the hands of a very large group. "Instead of tens of thousands who tried the Technical Preview, now we're talking about millions and million of people," Takeshi Numoto, the corporate vice president for Office, said in an interview Wednesday.

Hmmm... is there any difference between downloading the general public beta or the msdn or technet beta?
Cause then, it would be three buttons for 1 download

I have got it running on Windows 7 32bit and it works really well, very fast.

Only problem is Outlook crashes on start up, I have been searching but yet to find a solution.

No differences. You can get the beta with the debugger if you wish from the MSDN and TechNet edition or you can get the normal beta in any 3 methods. 64-bit is available in every method.

I've only seen one real issue. Though there were no issues with the Preview, the Beta is causing PhraseExpress (Release V6 or Beta V7) to silently crash. I have reported it to the PhraseExpress people.

Office 2010 will go before PE does. PE is just too damned useful to let go.

I *really* want to play with the new Sharepoint Workspace 2010 but Sharepoint 2010 isn't available yet and it's not compatible with WSS 3.0 or MOSS 2007.
