Just a bump since there is renewed interest from the new folders. Definitely some dead links here though, but still some good stuff as well.

my "farm"
*deleted*

It's just a single comp right now... :D

Here's my mess,

Ten Biostar, four HP, and one Soyo MOBOs.
All run XP1700+ T-breds less one XP2100+ T-bred. Most @ 1.6 to 1.8GHz pending MOBO.
128MB of PC133 Kingston value RAM in most, the balance run PC2100.
All run the Speeze 5F263B1M3G HSF.
Generic 400w PSUs.
All run with 3GB HDDs (behind the PSUs) w/NTFS format (Page file, OS, Apps partitions)
All interconnect via 100 Fast Ethernet to a 24 port unmanaged switch.
All run WinXP pro SP1.
All backed up w/UPS.

Not pictured; XP1900+ @ 1.8GHz and an Athlon 900MHz. In the foreground is a temp rig running an XP1700 @ 1.47GHz.

All good for around 30GHz.

Top right is an old slot A 800MHz I might just fire up today. :)

i love solitare in Windows 2000 Beta 3... when you would minimize it it would change to the Excel logo and say "sheet1.xls" ... needless to say the first time that happened i was really confused to where my solitare minimized to, and when did i open excel???

rofl good times

Just switched over all my machines from SETI to F@H. Kinda sad to stop SETI but i needed a change of pace.

Roughly you can figure that you can approximately $5 to your bill per month for each box you leave on 24/7. Some may be more. Most will be a bit less. However, as a good guess $5/box/month added on to your normal bill.

I don't have a pic, but I've got 7.7Ghz of Folding power:

P4 550 3.4GHz w/ HT on XP Media Center 2005 (XP Pro SP2) Dell Dimension 8400 Desktop (my comp)

Intel P4 2.8GHz on a Sony VAIO Laptop (mom and dad's comp)

AMD Athlon XP 1.5GHz on a ECS Desktop (brothers' comp)

are you serious?

$5/box/month seems kinda high.

You might want to look at this thread as it has some more up to date consumption numbers and estimates.
