1 gig of Kingston HyperX PC3200 for only $144(!!!) shipped after $20 MIR

Why does Outpost list it as HyperX, but the rebate says ValueRam? I'm kinda concerned about the difference :(

Edit: Actually, I looked closer and the numbers on the rebate don't match the one for the RAM

Ram = KHX3200K2/1G
Rebate = KHX3200AK2/1G

It goes to $189.00 when you put it in the cart? Did I miss something?

I get the same thing. I have a feeling it is a price mistake. As I mentioned above, look closely at the rebate and the numbers for the memory. They don't match.

Even at 189.00 thats a good price (especially if you get the $20 off of that) The egg has it for $258.50. Thats some serious savings.

After checking the rebate form the SKU's on the products don't match up so I doubt that the $20 mail in rebate will be honored. Still a decent deal @ 189.99

right next to where you check off "20 rebate on" it displays "KHX3200AK2/1GR & "KHX3200AK2/1GR"

You have to look closely at the center of the pdf to notice it ;)

Wait a second, darn, price shows up as $189 in the cart. Darn again

Look a little closer. The SKU on the rebate does not match the SKU for the product. The Rebate has "AK2" while the product is listed with "K2". There is a strong chance the rebate will not work.

Still, not a bad price even without the rebate.

Yeah I got the same deal at $159 and then a $20 rebate, the deal said it expired on 11/9. But it looks like they extended it becuase now it expires on 11/16. As far as the model number goes, I called about that and they said its a typo. It is the KHX3200AK2/1GR as listed on the rebate as opposed to the KHX3200K2/1G. I even checked out the same number, 3746176 at fry's...I work there. I walked over to the cage to check out the ram with one of the component supervisors. One things that bugs me is the R at the end of the model number, it doesn't come up on the kingston site. Its still a bit fishy and all the numbers don't really match but I guess I will find out when I get it monday. Just in time for HL2. Even if I don't get the rebate I still got it at $159, but $20 off is sweet (assuming I don't have to track down my rebate 10 weeks later).

btw as of right now, I checked outpost and it is at $159 with $20 rebate ($139 just like I got it when I purchased it on the 9th). It stays at $159 when I put it in the cart too.

I don't know what to say becuase it is $159 when I add it to the cart.

*edit*
outpost is screwy, now it says $189

Wow, you guys would probably freak if I told you that people who ordered this 3 weeks ago were getting 3200K2 instead of 3200AK2. (3200K2 is BH5.)

anyone know how that mem OCs?
I have the PC4000 (hynx) stuff and can only get FSB260 out of it. (I haven't really overvolted it)

so since i bought my ram on the 9th, did i understand you right that i should still be able to get the 20 MIR??

Outpost.com was screwy on that rebate form too, I purchased on the 9th and the downloadable pdf for the rebate was still the expired one (till - 11/2). When I called they said their manager was updating that and would change it by the night or it would be up on the 10th (the last day). Luckily I was able to get a hard copy of the correct form from fry's where I work but I still checked online for the link and it was never updated to cover those dates. Unless you requested they send you the rebate form with the order and they give you the right one for the same purchase period, you may be S.O.L.

would there be any chance for maybe you faxing me a copy of that form or mailing me one?? i would make it worth your time!!

If this deal doesn't work out, you may want to check out this deal at ZipZoomFly:

Link

This is the KHX3200ULK2/1G Ultra-Low Latency 2-2-2-5-1 PC-3200 for $222 after MIR. It uses the Samsung TCCD chips. NewEgg sells the same mem for $268.
