whats the best USB 2.0/firewire HDD enclosure out there? Doesnt matter if its SATA or PATA.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like the nexstar enclosure is about 1/3 thinner.

However, the drive is MUCH more secure in the Mapower. And, the Mapower has to support a 6 pin Firewire cable as well.

The only reason I got the Mapower enclosure was because of the firewire. Do you know if their 5.25" enclosure is just as sturdy and has the oxford 911 chipset? I wanted to get a external dvdrw drive for my IBM T23.

Got my enclosure today. I plugged it in and it showed as a Genesys 711 chipset . What is yours? I also couldnt get the FW working without plugging in the USB cable for power. Do you have that same problem?

I love my Nexstar......friggen tiny, USB 2.0 is fast enough for me, powered on one cable, and a little foam in the bottom of the enclosure keeps the drive secure.
