Doom3 CoOp finally released :)

Well it is not official, because id certainly does not care to give much to the community

But here is the mod for CoOp.
Doom 3 Coop Mod Last Man Standing
This is probably the best Doom 3 mod ive played so far ! You can connect to any server (made for this mod) and play in co-op mod against the AI powered doom 3 standard enemys . The only thing thats wrong with it its that the servers lag to much and i become anoying . But were still waiting for an offical sever because the mod simpley rocks !

iD loves the game community.

Think about all of the innovations they have brought over the years; the releases of source codes; QuakeCon, etc. etc.

I believe they are hard at work on their next game.

But to say that iD doesn't care to give much to the community is simply false.

Despite the name I wouldn't call this CoOp.
I'd call it teamplay vs. bots.

CoOp I think of laying waste to the "single player" levels.

In an interview i seen with jc he stated that they would show some of the new stuff by the end of last year, but they havent yet. Most of what they show will probably be new gfx engine stuff with the new shadow buffer tech he was talkin about.

Let me know when you find another developer as big as id who gives the entire source code to their games away for free. Then find another developer who sponsors a totally free 5 day lan. I'd say you would be hard pressed to find a developer who cares as much about their community as id does.

....or one that would release a free expansion pack that was originally gonna be a retail product.

It's going to be free now?

I find it hard to think of anyone that has given as much back to the Community then id has... I know that Valve has been seriously pissing me off as recent though.

yep

et killed rtcw though. i still think rtcw is a better game. but i guess you can't compare the two so much besides the class system. it just feels so much different.
