FX-55 vs FX-53
Other then 3-400 dollar difference, 200 mhz, and strained silicon process, what is really different between the 55 and the 53?
Is the 53 overclockable? Will I notice any more performance between one or the other? I got nudged out of buying 55s due to it being consistantly out of stock, and overpriced. So I opted to buy 53s instead. Just curious. Thanks for any information anybody could provide.

Thats pretty much it. The Strained silicon, and the 200mhz bump.. Oh and the beefier stock heatsink with 4 heatpipes
And The FX-55's overclock higher thanx to the Strained silicon.. or so i've heard ![]()

I did notice a couple articles concerning the FX55 vs the 53 performance wise and it only seems to be a marginal 2-4% if that. I guess with the current pricing and problem getting these babys, the 53 is the way to go price vs performance wise. *sigh* Thanks for the reply.
