I thought about putting on a suit to take the pics, but my robe is soooo comfy.

Nice mod, but only one question...you DO have something to secure the monitors down, right? Because I'm sure the last thing you want is to lean back and get buried under 3 monitors. :D

EDIT: Also, I HAVE to ask. I see you using a mouse and some other thing to play your game with (on the left armrest of your chair). What is that thing, and where can I get one?

Nostromo 52 game pad. Great for gaming. I have used one for about 2 years. You can get them from the egg. BB had them too.

Is there a difference in temps when you recline, or is there so much water that the shift doesn't matter?

Other than that, I loved it the first time, and I still do. Ranks up there as one of the best gaming rigs ever.

You can totally watch 3 seperate pornos at the same time full screened...I like it. :D

And recline so you are nice and comfy....too bad he forgot to mod a tissue holder...ok sorry about that.

Nice mod, what type of birds are those...can they talk? My friend has a bird that she says likes to sing classical music lol, you should train your birds to make game sound effects like M16s firing and laser blasts, that would be sweet.

That's so cool man, quite innovative.

Anyways, you're not naked under that robe are you????
;)

wow, nice. I think hes got metal on the front that covers up part of the bezels of the monitors.
therefore the screens bezels cannot fall forward. backwards, who knows.
Don't you get a little screen shakage when all three are on?

Na, incline does not make a difference. The additional weight of the water being pushed up is balanced by the additional weight of the water coming back down the tubing.

The colorful one is a Jenday conure, the other, I have no clue. They dont talk but they do sing, heck, screech up a storm. Especially the little one.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but aren't we all naked under our clothes?

Correction, fatter.

No shakage. The backs of the monitors turn away from each other, I guess it is far enough to not create a problem.

Me sees an oldschool joystick. I owned a joystick like that when I was about 10 years old, first joystick I ever owned. I wish I still had it. I loved the calibration wheels right on the thing, sure wish they still made joysticks like that now-a-days :(

I like the rear speaker arms, good solution.

I see at least 2, possibly 3 computers there. What's the deal; got some crazy KVM action?

There are 2 PC's in the case. I use a program called synergy to control both PC's with one mouse and keyboard.

the birds look to be a sun conure and a senegal parrot :p i have a senegal, it says "pretty bird" "step up" "daddy" "right here" and can sing the intro to the song scotts a dork by reel big fish :D

You really need to streamline it. Looks like shit. Literally. Old chair, old rugs, old monitors.........cmon at least do it right :p

ok gotta say something positive. At least the monitors dont fall into your lap.

Budget my freind budget. The chair was free, carpet was a quick fix for cold feet. Monitors are not old, well one of them is but its the 19" to the right and it was only 20 bucks. Three 19" lcd's would be beautiful sitting up there but would cost another $1500. I dont have that much in everything on the rig now, including the birds.

look, I dont think this guy did all this for looks. I think he did it for comfort. HE DID IT IN HIS ROBE! take a hint. He did it right. Why use a new chair? seems like most chairs these days arent comfy at all and are cheap. A new lazy boy that cost a few grand wears out in a few years. As for "old monitors", you think CRT's have developed alot in the past 6 years? CRT's still give a better gaming experience so having him waste 1500 on lcd's just because they are new and look "cool" is just silly. I just suggest he gets a nice dell p1110 monitor off ebay, they are dirt cheap and that would be the best investment into his current setup. He only needs one for battlefield 1942 and vietnam. I'm wondering what waterblocks those are on his processors and how well they work.

All in all, it looks great, dont listen to these negative guys that care enough about looks to spend over a grand on looks when the sight of this thing which we may find beautiful would actually make a woman look at us and say "wacko".

BTW Point of Existence is sweet, but I'm more of a Desert Combat man. Guided missiles just take the fun out of things.

edit: I know you did alot of welding to build this, but do you think its possible to create such a thing without welding? Drilling holes and bolting pieces together may make it slightly more bulky but it makes it more approachable to guys who cant weld. Also, I think people should note that this thing is HEAVY and dont try putting it in your second floor bedroom. This guy did it in his basement(from what I can tell with the cinderblocks on the wall. Put it on another floor and you may end up moving downstairs without having to carry anything.

Great post beelzebub:

Could you tell me a bit more about this monitor and why it would be superiour to my mag I currently use.

They are home made, the one to the right with the top inlet was one I made about a year ago and the one to the left was just made a week ago. They work fine. My full load temps with a fan and heatsink on the proc are around 55-58 c, I have just got done gaming for about 3 hours and have 2 proc in the water loop now and my temps are at 36 c. I reccon I got a lot more headroom for overclocking. Im at 2.4 gig now. The new block was made out of a 1 1/2 copper coupling with some thin gage copper soldered to the top and bottom. It was the first time I ever soldered anything and it was easy. No leaks with the first test.

I was a MOHAA man for years and just switched 6 months ago to BFV POE. I really enjoy it and the latest patch .3 realy improved balance. I have played a bit of direct combat in the past month but I am gonna play POE until BF2 comes out. My clan plans on switching the day it comes out.

Sure it could be bolted together. Would mean a lot more cutting. To me, cutting is harder then welding. And I do not know how to weld, been a learn as I go deal. Only hard part might be the hinge. I fabricated it from a 1/2 galviized ground rod and 1/2 galvinized pipe. As far as weight, the desk itself weighs around 400 lbs and fully loaded with me on it is about 1/2 ton. Should be well within desing loads for a floor system. (based on 40lb psf design presure. This desk would cover about 40 sq ft of floor which would give you 1600 lbs of support.)

But.....but.......but.................having a budget doesn't = messy job. :D :p

However I'd say it'd be nice if you made a wood shroud around the entire thing similar to an arcade racing game. It would cover all the ugly and if you paint it, would look alright.

Yes the second one looks like a sun conure. I have one, they are supposed to be smart and be able to say a phrase of up to 7 words and have a vocabulary of like 400 words, but all mine says is REEEK REEEK REEEK!

and you can pick up a nice black seet cover at wallmart for like 10 bucks ;)

Mine doesnt say anything, but REEEK REEEK REEEK I never new such a big noise could come out of such a cute little bird.. I would like to find out what the other one is, definately not the senegal parrot though. This one has a red white and blue face, green body.

On topic, alright, I will go buy a seat cover.

Mwohohohooo that's fucking insane. Good job! Wheredya get the chair from? Others mentioned the lack of a tissue box holder...you can use the map pocket on the seatback :D

omg i would probly die in this setup, all he needs is a hole in the bottom to goto the bathroom in with pluming, and if your worrying about food/water....well thats what the wife is for right? j/k.

ooOOOooohhh LOVE it! :D

PS i like the caarpet and feet fan, must be preeettty comfortable while on your computer!
