I have mine OCed and unlocked. 16/6, 400/1000 on stock cooling. Will upgrade later. Idles at 62C...grrrr high temps suck!

1000MHz......here's the question can you actually play or do anything that high? Just because you can slide it there means squat

Mine runs like that with stock, and it's stable.

Do you have proof?

Not hard to say something and have no proof.

I need proof on this 400/1000 deal, especially on stock cooling, until then it's all BS to me

Is that on a stock bios?

Yup, stock BIOS, 5.40.02.12.71 according to the nvidia display info. I've got it up to 380/875 now...stable as hell :)

Small artifacts in 3dmark, but if they don't show up in Doom III or other actual games, I don't really care.
UPDATE: No D3 artifacts, ran timedemo at 61.1FPS and heated up to 69C as a result.
UPDATE 2: Doom 3 runs at 57.3FPS on Ultra @ 1024x768. No AA or AF, will do that later. Must play game now. (Keep in mind that this is a 128MB card!)

That's still pretty low :X. I notice that if my core is too high, the fps drops.

not saying you aren't hitting 400 on the core, but throw a couple of bleeding edge stuations at it. mine did 400 (gigabyte 6800nu) w/ no artifacts in Doom 3, 3dmark 03, but did artifact in 3dmark 05 - ran the airship demo and when the thing jumps over the ship and the camera angle is looking straight up at its belly there is corruption. Had to lower it to 390 before it went away. Then ran Riddick demo and when the game begins, threw a punch to make the hands visible and again - corruption. had to go down to 385. Bear in mind all this is very subtle but it is there. As far as ram, I have a hard time believing any 6800nu w/ 2.8ns ddr can do 1000 or anywhere close - never heard of speeds much over 925+/- and those are the lucky ones.

Mines a 369/787, or whatever's in my sig, with 16 pipes and 6 shaders. Can't get it up much further than this at least with coolbits but for $200, I'll take this any day. Thank you Nvidia!

400/1000 is a pretty fierce OC.

I'm happy to have 382/811 @ 16/6 (could probably push the mem higher, but I got lazy). My temps run about 60 idle, 65 load.

Stupid Xoxide. My friend won't be getting me my cooler for a week....GRRRRR. It just might go to 400/1000 with a 3rd party cooler (Kingwin dual heatpipe with 3x50mm fans), or at least not artifact at 400/925 (It only screws up after about ten minutes of D3, which implies it's a heat problem at that speed).

OK new test: 425/900 got about 47k, so the core was too fast....trying 390/900....
UPDATE: At these settings, got 48k, temp is 59C?!??!!?!?!? (Had 66C just idle after start....)
UPDATE 2: 390/925 got 48k....any ideas on how to increase?
UPDATE 3: 440/925 48k again....
UPDATE 4: 400/940 48k again, small artifacts in "Large-Scale Vegetation rendering"

Temps are more of a problem on the core than they are the memory. Me, I'm just happy I managed to push my mem to 824 and finally break 11k in 3dmark03 - that's 2k over stock.

I found out after running these tests that something closed off the 4 exta pipes, will have to retest!

MSI NX6800 , unlocked & watercooled

Absolute maximum : 440/960 with 1.5Vgpu
And a 3DMark05 to prove it : http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=555234
Which , I believe , is still amongst the top of the orb for a single , plain (non GE) 6800.

It also gave me a 12400 3DMark03 , however that's about to improve by quite a bit , since I just got my A64.

Maximum stable mem : 920mhz
Maximum stable core : 425 w/ 1.5Vgpu , 405 w/ 1.4Vgpu , 380 w/ 1.2Vgpu (not that great).

I run it 24/7 @400/900 with 1.4Vgpu , load temps at high 30s to low 40s.

Mine only gets 12x6, but its perfectly benchable with everything unlocked
At least it does 421/871 rock solid stable, with no artifacts period :D
Yes, I am using PowerStrip, but everything is rock solid & stable. Temps only get up 70s on load.

400/800 16/6 24/7 stock BIOS, stock voltage, stock heating. Didn't get any gains through upping to 1.4V or 1.5V. No benchmarks right now, in between comps.

Noob question: How would I voltmod the thing?

You can do a softmod for the GPU voltage ( try this guide : http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=342919 ).
You can get up to 1.5Vgpu (ultra extreme Vgpu).

If you want more Vgpu or some Vddr , you'll have to use a soldering iron.

A couple of notes.
I recommend using nibitor to mod your bios , I had a lot of issues with omniextreme.

I DO NOT recommend using a higher Vgpu with stock cooling.
I tried 1.4Vgpu with the stock cooler and it got me from 370 to 400 core.
However , core temperature went up by 15-20°C and I got throttling.
High voltage + extremely high temperatures = not very healthy for the card.

Well, for the record I can do 400/900 stable on stock voltage, stock cooling. It starts to artifact after 45 mins of games, am getting a new cooler.

Hm, what drivers are you all using? I have the latest release from NVIDIA but I noticed you all have an expandable tree under Preformance. I lack that...wtf. If I had Photoshop Installed id Screen Grab it. *Confused*

Leadtech
325/850 12/6
Stable = 100%

I can almost unlock the last 4 pipes, but the water in 3DMark03 artifacts. I can't really push the core any without artifacting, which makes me :( I could probably push the memory higher, but I've been lazy.

In my sig (not much to brag about :p ), totally stable in all games and benchmark apps.

Meh, all I REALLY want for Christmas is a new type of DDR stick: the 700MHz modules they use on the GF6800, paired with either a Brainpower PCB, or OCZ's ULN2 layout. Either way, wouldn't that completely pwn anything else? I don't even care that they'd only be 256MB a stick, I'd fill up all four slots! (As always, copyright!)

WOW!!

That is the highest 6800 score that I have ever seen.
It is the highest 6800 score by almost 200 points on my 3DMark05 list.

Congratu-freakin-lations.

Thanks.
I checked the orb and there is only one plain 6800 score above mine , by 79 points (76.10 should be enough to correct this...).

A little tip , that made a real difference for my overclock.
The power regulators on the back of the card (near the power connector) get extremely hot.
Cooling those with an 80mm fan gave me +120mhz on the card's memory.
Perhaps it made a difference because I have barely any airflow in the case (I watercool everything) , but it's worth a try.
