...yes, while on the can. :D

Here it is...tell me what you think.

I am thinking that would should embark on a campaign to bring some sub-teams under the wing of team 33...I was thinking specifically about Gen[M]ay.com. There are already a lot of folks over there that we once part of the [H] or still are and they might be a nice little subteam to have. I am thinking that we draft a proposal to let them have there own sub-forum on Gen[M]ay, they can be there own team, named whatever they want. We can have cross team gauntlets and such with them to increase production but we will all fold for 33. I think that there is a broad range of people over that may have never heard of folding and may be willing to pitch in....just think of the possibilites of a sub-team that is that big... <insert drool smiley here>

Thoughts, concerns, ideas?

Sub team as they are team 33, but with their own stats? or a sister team that Stanford sees as a seperate entity?

isn't there/wasn't there bad blood between the [H] and Genmay.com?

Keep on Folding!! For the [H]orde!!

That's kind of what I was thinking too...

First off....what is "KC'd"?

I am just thowing this out there for discussion....OSU, they would show as team 33 members, but they would have there own section of genmay.com to have a subforum in.

I'm not saying that... just wondering about the history

I know that it was started one of the times that Kyle did away with Genmay here at the [H]...not sure of bad blood or anything like that.

If it has to do with more people folding for any team I'm all for it. And even if there was any history I think it'd be a good time to put it past us and try to make some new friends.

My point? Thumbs up from me

Since they have their own team that is ranked 22nd, I don't think they would go for it. There is some bad blood between them and here anyways.

What was the Great [H] Pissy Fit?

The [H]ard|Forums were enjoying a unusual amount of downtime (even for them) in early May. Kyle Bannit in his infinite wisdom (we're talking John Bryson-eqsue wisdom here) decided to open up a DONATION FUND of all things for the [H] forum server. Simply laughable, as Kyle takes breaks from kicking puppies and pushing the elderly down flights of stairs to go roll in his pile of money and free hardware. The servers did not need new hardware, they needed someone competent to run them.

M|22 fired off an email offering up his knowledge of vB to help, in a completely non-patronizing, non-sarcastic, genuinely helpful way. Kyle responded with nothing but disrespect and asshattery, which we frown upon here at Gen[M]ay. Bickering between the two ensued, with much drama. Kyle took it to the next level by posting PERSONAL NAMES AND ADDRESSES of people who had donated less than a dollar (PayPal takes nearly all of that for its fees) on the main page of one of his forums, encouraging users to sign them up for spam, porn, harass them, etc. Another classic move, good show.

This resulted in many Gen[M]ay users using their [H]ard|Forums accounts to harass and flame Kyle, which due to the extreme Nazi Moderation, isnt tolerated. Many a user was banned that day, this time due to the best intentions. Kyle eventually deleted the thread and all references to it (1984-style Moderation at its finest), and remains an ignorant dickhead. And a Texan.

This was the catalyst for the creation of Gen[M]ay as you experience it today.
They said it, not me. Might have a bit of anti-[H] slant.

Now THAT is good. :p Fortunately or unfortunately, however, some of us don't have the opportunity to live somewhere where the temperature isn't ridiculously high for ridiculously long, and where electricity doesn't cost almost twice as much as in other places, and where the power companies don't want to jack up prices another 12%.

Ok, next idea.

I am going to approach [H]ard|Gaming about forming a subteam. Seeing as how they are already related to us via KBNetworks, p[H] and I think it is a good start.

So, how should I present it?

First thing would be seeing if its even an option to do this kind of cross post, their admin might not take kindly to it.

I plan on emailing or PM'ing Duck before any post is made.

How do we convince them that it won't hinder their gaming experience? (as long as they're NOT using the graphical client)....

Seeing as how the console yeilds to other processes willingly, this shouldn't be a problem.

Go back to that thread (when was it--about a month and a half ago?) that showed 3dmark scores or something similar when running the console vs. no console. Or do some gaming benchmarks that show that a game's FPS is not noticably affected by the F@H service running in the background.

Edit: Aha!
Edit #2: Better link

Not to mention we're good about coming up with bat files and the such to disable the client in most cases.

I know that it doesn't effect gaming... BUT... alot of people "think" it does... I was just wondering about the best approach...
