What is your max STABLE 24/7 useage OC, and what Voltage are you putting to it? ON air cooling only please. Im having a hell of a time getting my FX 57 past anything over 3025MHz... Im using an XP120 w/ a 191CFM fan :eek:
 
what stepping do you have, and what are your temps?
i would also assume this is with the asus? :D
 
my temps are 30/31c idle and 36c loaded after playing FEAR. This will be on a DFI SLI-DR

If u look at his amd Fx 57 overclocking "help" u will see that he is not stable at 3025. That is not a valid clock speed for that proc. u can get 3000, 3015, 3030, 3045 but no 3025.

11x275 = 3025

Maybe you just got a bad overclocker. The chip is only rated for 2.8GHz, and overclocking involves a whole lot of luck.

see thats what i dont get about the fx series, they have unlocked multiplyers yet they cant clock much higher even on h20...
 
As an FX-53/Vapochill LS owner, I'll sadly agree with that statement. My chip maxed out at an unstable ~2.95GHz, stable ~2.8GHz.
 
Luck of the draw I guess. My 3500+ venice tops out below some 3000+ venice chips. My 7800GTX can't do KO speeds without locking up or artifacts. I think for every person who speaks out and says they get *such and such great OC* there are 10 people who are afraid to say they're not getting a good oc because they're worried it might make their e-penis look small.

Hey Patrick, since when are you a MOD, and can tell when a thread is over :confused: . You must be one of those "INTERNET" TUFF guys :rolleyes:
