But of course they are.... gotta do the cash grab while everybody & their brother/sister/kids etc are looking for ways to beat da toobie's sillyness...

Hopefully, they will use the extra cash to fund additional research into ways to get around the ads and stay 1 step ahead of da toobie :D

No. They've had this sale for years. I was just sharing this discount because AdGuard works outside the browser and is good at bypassing YouTube's nonsense.

Well, I use uBlock... and it does not remove ads from within YouTube streams. Unless I'm doing something wrong?
 
The reason solution to youtube's non-sense is for people to upload to another video platform or self host--there's so many out there. I made the decision a long time ago when I was regularly creating video content to not use these platforms after reading the terms of service.
