does the external clock generator affect PBO algo on AM5 mobos

Looking at a few B650E mobos and wondering about the external clock generator a few mobos have (such as the Taichi) and wondering if that separate clock gen is only useful if you are going to manually OC or does it offer improvements when PBO is enabled?
