I'm about to build a box using some spare parts that I have but I have one or two questions before I go through with it.
a) Do these rack cases allow for using regular atx motherboards and powersupplies. I would probably be looking at a 2U or a 4U.
b) In either case, the approximate hardware I will be using will be as follows:
Athy 2000+ to 2400+ Single processor (depending on who donates what)
Maxtor 120GB 7200RPM EIDE HDD
Loads of DDR- Ram, either 512mb or 768mb of (probably pc2100).
Some pos video card or integrated on the mobo depending on the mobo of course..
Will this suffice for the dedicated task of pleasing gamers? I would expect so.

The network will be a 10mbit connection dedicated just for this server.

Now what I'm actually going to use this for. A 20-26person CoD public server. I think I've worked out all the theoretical/real bandwidth issues and the 10mbit connection should suffice for any spikes there may be. A ~50 person server was spiking to 7 or 8 mbit/s or so, so this application should be fine.

My 2 questions again in summary:
Can I use ATX hardware & a barebones rack case or do I need special motherboard/powersupply etc.?
Will that hardware suffice for the task (I already suspect it will)?

If you have a little extra cash and wanted it done right, i have a monster of a server system that i'm going to put up for sale here shortly. :)
