P5B-deluxe - No EIST in bios?

Running my P5B-D wifi with a 6600 C2D cpu and everything is working fine except:

I can't find the setting for turning on the EIST (Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology). It just doesn't seem to be there. Its very strange. I've looked through my bios like a dozen times and can't find it.

I am using Bios 614.

Any help please would be great. Thank you. :mad:
 
In the 0507 bios its under advanced --> cpu config. You have to scroll down to the very bottom to find it.
 
Yeah. I just flashed to 0614 to see for myself and it's not there.
Windows also won't load now.
So back to 0507 for me!
 
Nathonius, can I ask you a question?

Did you have you have enabled or disabled with the 507 bios?
 
Ok...now I am confused. After a failed attempt to get into windows I cleared my bios by setting the jumpers and pulling the battery. Then I loaded the bios defaults.

Now EIST is there under CPU configuration, right under 'PECI'.

Anyways, I did not have it enabled in 0507.
 
you mean you just found it in the 614 bios?

now I am confused.. people on the Asus forums say that Asus got rid of it in the bios.
 
It wasn't there when I first went in bios. Then after clearing the cmos and loading the bios defaults, it's back. I dunno what to think. The other difference is that there is no option to disable vanderpool technology, it's greyed out. I always had it enabled before in 0507 because turning it off had an impact on performance.
