It's not compressed (well barely, maybe a few PSI depending on the container), and it's not at room temperature. It's extremely cold. The dewar is vented and some LN2 is constantly boiling off; this takes away the heat that slowly makes it's way into the dewar. I work with this stuff all the...
Cool, it sounds like you definitely tried hard to find out, and I can understand your subsequent skepticism. However, there seems to be a lot of bad info out there since very few people, even the relevant engineers, have actually used one of the monitors with a top end graphics subsystem. I...
Lol, where to begin. First of all, you got 'talk' and 'walk' backwards.
Secondly, I have already shown pics, on multiple occasions. When I first got this monitor over a year ago, when I was one of the very first in the entire world to have it, I posted on the fact that it could be driven from...
Wow, I go away for a few days, and an ignorant teenager slanders me all over the place, while placing a suspiciously advertisement-like post. You have been misled by the 'experts' at these companies; they don't know what they're talking about, and neither do you. Also, you could stand to...
Pros: obvious. Still the the biggest, excepting the IBM, which has an unacceptable refresh rate IMO. If you need the real estate as I do, nothing beats the 30ACD.
That said, the contrast ratio could stand to be a lot better. It is acceptable, but not impressive. That's really the only thing...
Good idea, so i did that.
Though I strongly advocate the 30" ACD, the Westy is definitely an excellent monitor. For me, highest resolution is still most important (I'd get the IBM uber-monitor if I could) but the Westy is no doubt an excellent solution where budget is high but not unlimited...
All depends on the intention of the system. Sometimes purely fast = 'high-end'.
This beast is mostly for analyzing mass spectrometry data to identify proteins involved in different biological circuitry in cells, which is what I do professionaly. The app I run for that is kind of like folding...
