Help with Asetek 92mm AIO kit in SFF/HTPC?

Sorry, had to put project on hold for a few months because of school and also had to figure out the best and most efficient install. I was going to have an aluminum bracket made to mount the single fan to the dual fans but I didn't want to pay the fab costs. I grabbed some duct tape and zip ties...

Asatek 545LC 92mm water cooler setup in SFF/HTPC?

I thought about doing a dual 80mm radiator behind the case and routing inwards above the psu but the lines have to go rearward then loop back in to the case. Custom kits are also expensive. It would be harder to mount the AIO kit as the lines are not very flexible . Mounting to the lid I...

Asatek 545LC 92mm water cooler setup in SFF/HTPC?

I could do a hole cut with the rotozip but i'm afraid of weakening the support to much as it has to hold the weight of the BD player. Drilling holes would leave more strength. It's actually a perfect fit using the right angle sata cable. Shaving off the lip on the side wouldn't gain enough...

Help with Asetek 92mm AIO kit in SFF/HTPC?

^ It's a pre production or prerelease model direct from Asetek. If it works well enough it will generate interest which will bring it to market. It would work for HTPC and small lan party type gamer boxes. The thumb screws worked perfectly. It's hard to see them in the picture above though.

Help with Asetek 92mm AIO kit in SFF/HTPC?

^ No manual, this is prerelease version. Most likely will be rebadged as either Corsair or Antec. An internal setup would not be possible without an AIO kit. Thanks Zack! :D > You will want to start by looking for 6-32 UTS screws. The size of your fan > will determine the length of the 6-32...

Help with Asetek 92mm AIO kit in SFF/HTPC?

Here is my original thread as I intended to mod the case drilling holes on the lid, mounting to support bar and then using weather strip for the gap between the lid and support bar...http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1593120 The case has alot of ventilation holes on the side and bottom...

    AT&T buys T-Mobile for $39 Billion!!

That is true but ATT will lie and tell you that you will have to switch and that is from first hand experience. The only true part is my mother is using a cingular phone and I just bought another old new stock cingular cell for my sister on att as well. Try staying on a tmobile plan when your...

    AT&T buys T-Mobile for $39 Billion!!

That's sad and funny. AT&T used to be the major monopoly, they split up and monolized again like an alien blob. Cingular blew away ATT and when they took it over the equipment went to tMobile. SO ATT was only good for a month. I had their unlimited min plan years ago and it was worthlesss as I...

Asatek 545LC 92mm water cooler setup in SFF/HTPC?

Sure let me snap a few and see if I can upload or link. Well, with such an extremely short run there would be no back pressure and the pump would be very fast. It may move the coolant too fast to be cooled by the radiator. I may be able to control it somewhat with the mobo. I am actuall...

Asatek 545LC 92mm water cooler setup in SFF/HTPC?

:o I received my Asetek 545LC kit. I thought it was going to be easy but the lines are not really flexible. I can't spiral them or bend and twist them in a tight "S" shape. I have a few choices: I can cut the hard lines and replace them with flexible ones (creates another issue getting...

    Need 8GB of memory: 4x2GB or 2x4GB?

Benchmark software may show a difference but you will never notice it. CL rating won't determine longevity. If you run 1600's at 1333 they will run cooler and last longer. Lifespan for me is two For some it's one as they have the need for the latest (like cell phones). You may want five years...

    Need 8GB of memory: 4x2GB or 2x4GB?

You don't need 8gb of ram. I've done it twice only becuase I bought them half price. Also, I can disable the swap file. Ram is no longer the bottle neck. Rather lack of ram becuase of cost. The two bottlenecks are video and hard drive. CL7 is better then CL8 but it would not be possible for you...

    Antec Lanboy Air Review

That case serves it's purpose and with any work of art, taste is subjective. If you like the case, don't let other people change your own mind. Anyhow, if you like modding silent cases with heat pipes instead of fans then this case is perfect. Watercooling gives you the option of a fanless...

Asatek 545LC 92mm water cooler setup in SFF/HTPC?

I have the SIlverstone GD02 HTPC SFF case and I want to keep the CPU cool when running games. I can just add a 92mm fan the center support bracket trying to channel air towards rear fans which may not work well or help too much. I can get a all-in-one cpu water cooler kit from Asatek that...
