While I do like that color, I think it would clash with my current desk setup.
I think I'll just wait for the black ones. If I have to pay a hundred bucks more for them, so be it
I'm even considering maybe vinyl wrapping them in imitation...
Thank you!
Got the KEFS today. I liked them before the sub when I sampled them from BB, but with the sub they are truly a next level listening experience. Incredible! Gorgeous to look at too.
Also, once you get the Sub...
SVS has a great little database of speakers for starting points for crossover settings in their "Subwoofer matching tool".
Now their tool picks the PB-3000 (I wouldn't go this route for 2-channel), SB-3000 and...
As previously mentioned I would start with the crossover settings recommended by SVS.
Set the low pass to 60hz, and a drop-off to 24db/octave.
Then fine tune it from there. Tweak it up and down a little and see how you like it.
If the low...
Oh my god!
The SVS 3000 Micro came, along with the triband wireless adapter. I couldn't wait to set it up, so I got to it right away. Getting it working with the wireless adapter was quick and easy. It came with most of the cables needed, but...
Hell yes man. Once that 3000 micro gets thrown in, you're gonna be in business! I'm going to be shocked if you come back and tell us that you're not impressed with the sub.
Just a little far, woulda invited you over to sample them.
I'll report back with sub thoughts, this will be my first sub since having the old Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 setup for my computer in the early 2000s lol, super excited!!
I'm in greater Boston, so it's a little far :p
I've been reading up on SVS "new" DSP based configuration, and it looks pretty impressive.
I suspect you'll have a much easier time fine tuning that 3000 micro than I have had with the SB12-NSD...
You don't happen to live near Denver do you?
I hear you on the aesthetics, I love them but can see why someone wouldn't. The KEF Q150 look nice, I wouldn't have minded that type of aesthetic on the LS50s.
In addition, I'm finally testing out...
First impressions are excellent, the Ragnarok 2 + the Mani 2 provided a sound quality upgrade that I did not really expect coming from the Yamaha that I took from my grandparents years ago. The sound is much more layered and multidimensional, and...
God damn it. I was not planning to spend that much on a sub, but you guys sold me. Found an open box with a 5 year warranty for $640 and bit.
EDIT Schiit gear was just delivered! Looking forward to getting into it later today.
