Sounds like you'll have to do some heavy inspecting. I don't have the magic answer but check those skinny copper pins on the board connections and make sure they're not bent. Good luck man! Report back what you find out.
A spark? Oh boy. I would thoroughly inspect that power board where you saw the spark (that's a given). Which capacitors did you have to replace? Where were they located?
25jai, I can only suggest you go back and check that every plug you had to detach is properly secure. I had to go back and firmly secure mine because the screen was pink! That was scary. Just make sure everything is back to its original position. Good luck!
