Google Is Considered A ‘School Official?’

Well, on one hand - Google is doing what they do, collect and market data. On the other hand, this should probably be brought up to the local school board to see if the understand (or care) about the data collection. If they know about it, and accept it - start voting them out, or get together...

T-Mobile: We're Not Throttling YouTube, We're 'Optimizing' It!

This sound like the government saying they are not going to increase your taxes, they are going to increase their revenues instead.

    Windows 10's End-Of-Year Report Card

I think that was a pretty fair assessment. Win 10 is a pretty good operating system. I would rather they kept the control panel, if nothing else, just because I am familiar with it and know where to find stuff. The privacy stuff: Apple and Google get it to sell you stuff or make money from...

    Destroying A Hard Drive Permanently

Put a few bullets through it. A couple of .45's would render it useless.

Critics Of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Blast New Film

I haven't seen it, don't want to see it. Am I the only one that doesn't like "star wars"? I mean, the movies are ok, but I've only seen the first three. Lasers, light sabers, etc. Ok, cool. Story? Eh, not so much.

The Trouble With Online Customer Reviews

A lot of the one star reviews I read are based more on someone's perception of what the item actually does, is for, or how it works. A lot of morons order things not really understanding what they are ordering. Sure, there are legitimate beefs, but most companies will attempt to make it right.

Lawsuit Demands The Right To Resell Steam Games

So what's next? Go to the theater and watch a movie and demand the Blu Ray copy because I paid for it?

Pirate Bay Founder Builds A Perpetual Piracy Machine

He realizes, as does everyone else, that he'll NEVER make enough to pay off the fines. In that sense, it's like not being fined at all as they government has to leave enough money for him to pay rent, food, etc.

Tim Cook On Apple Avoiding U.S. Taxes: 'Total Political Crap'

Is it legal? Yes. Does our government abusively waste taxpayer money? Yes. I don't see a problem with what Apple is doing.

Gmail Ending? Google Starts Migrating Users

I tried inbox for a couple of months and finally got rid of it. If they force this, like others I'd be gone. I'd probably still keep the address for spam, etc. but I wouldn't bother checking it. EVER. :D

AT&T Really Wants You Off That Unlimited-Data Plan

HOLY CRAP $5!!!! Actually, that sounds like a reasonable increase.

Best Buy Shows Electronics Aren’t Going To Save Christmas Either

Probably not the most common sentiment on [H] but....If it ain't broke, still does what I need it to do....I don't buy new stuff for the sake of couple of features, etc. when the basic functionality remains the same. 4K TV's? Yeah, as soon as they start broadcasting in it I might consider...

    Fallout 4: Real-Life vs. In-Game Boston

Honestly, this was on my MUST BUY list, but I never pre-order and always wait for reviews having been bit a few times. Having seen multiple indepth reviews, I've decided to pass.
