Made some of the suggested changes. According to the info I read on newegg, I believe the mobo and cpu are compatible, but pc hound says they are not.

well if you have a version of xp lying around and you really want to determine if its software or hardware, i would say install vista even if its as a dual boot

first, of course overheating in any situation is only an issue if you use air to cool, which i do on my lanbox.
second as long as you replace the crappy stock fans then this box should be cool enough.
