Good read. The 2gb frame buffer helps out in certain instances in SLI at high res.
I think fermi was more geared more for CPGPU than raw gaming performance. Which is too bad, I was expecting a bigger performance boost over current offerings. Then again once heavy tessellation starts showing up in games I'm sure nv's offerings will start to shine a little.

As the ad states. I want a pair of waterblocks for the older G80 core 8800gts 640's.
Got a new i7 rig, and a buddy with some good soldering skills. Gonna voltmod them. And figured I'd try some water on them for kicks and giggles if I can find some cheap blocks...
Last time I checked an overclocked G80 GTS 640 will run with a GTS 250.
Only thing that really hurt them was the lowly clock speeds and locked shaders. But that has been fixed.
Bump its clocks and I'm sure it will hold its own. And yes its bummer that the g80's didn't get full support...
Why not just run one dvi to your plasma and one to your monitor? Set it as an extended display?
Set them both at their native resolutions and be done with it. Or am I missing something?
Doesnt matter if the signal is analog or digital. As long as your matching the native resolution of the panel and not inducing noise by using a cheap vga cable your fine.
