4850 = quiet yet hot. If you want a 4850 don't worry about the noise, its pretty much whisper quiet in my p182

I would really try the card in another comp or find another card to test out. It really seems like you setup has something wrong with it. 2 cards dying is mighty high odds.

What happened to the previous card? Sounds like it might be a mobo/psu issue killing your cards.
