Are there certain brands that are better than others in this regard or is pretty much a crapshoot (I'm guessing the latter)? Or is electrical noise pretty much inherent to a power supply? I guess this is more of a brand question than particular units. edit: Sorry meant noise that you hear.

I bought a new fan the other day and as I was installing it, I noticed that when the top or side panel of my case is off, the 120mm fan pushes a lot more air. Does this mean that I don't have enough intake air coming in? My case is an Antec 1650b (a few years old).
