Hot damn, Intel is really on the ball right now. All I know is, if you are in the market for a cpu, it isnt even a question anymore that you should go Intel. If AMD cant get its Phenom clocks up to 3GHz and quickly, they wont stand a chance. Then again, they dont stand a chance right now...

vr-zone, fudzilla, theinq all pretty much had it right with the "rumors". You will only hear bad things about these sites when once in a while they get something wrong.
This card is gonna kick butt, and makes me laugh at all the fools who bought $500 cards not long ago cry about the 8800GT...
Yep, I'm happy with the results. All I care about is the gaming results, 16-21% faster than Athlon X2 in the 2 games they chose (oblivion and HL2) is pretty damn good to me.
I wont be going Quad anytime soon, but it is good to see AMD get back up and get into the fight again.
Looking at ordering an Xclio 460 stablepower power supply for my PC in sig. It appears to have some good specs with good efficiency and low noise. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these power supplies.

Hey, Im not trying to step on toes. Just alot of what I read is bad stuff about Vista.
I play games alot, and Vista is well known to perform worse at games than XP.

I honestly can't think of many positives over XP that Vista brings to the table. The only things I can think of is it allows more than 4GB memory usage and has DX10. The negatives are pretty big right now. It is a memory hog and drivers are immature, making some hardware like sound cards and...
I swear I saw a 2600XT on newegg for $99 friggin bucks
It is the GDDR3 version, but still, they must know they suck real bad in performance. Where are the good mid range cards? These are more like low end cards than mid range, wtf
I have the exact same motherboard and CPU setup that you have, and get the exact same effect with my v core.
It is set at 1.45 in bios, then in cpu-z it show 1.475 idle, 1.55 when running orthos.
55c load? HAH that is nothing my friend. My chip in sig gets up to 65c playing videogames, 70c in orthos. Of course I'm using stock heatsink and fan though.
Burn baby BURN!!!
Unfortunately there is a phenomena known as "fanboyism", where no matter if they are worse in just about every meaningful category i.e. performance, image quality, price/performance, the fanboys will still buy the graphics card from the company they love for some reason.
Supposedly the high end Geforce 9 (G90 or G92?) cards should be coming by Christmas this year, with mid range coming next spring.
