I found a dual 500mhz g4 powermac for about $300 w/ a gig of ram and tiger. Would this be suitable for basic functions like web browsing or ilife? Also, how would photoshop run on this computer? I'm aware cs2 would probably be slow, but what about cs3 if I put a better graphics card in it...

I think it's pretty clear the us is sony's posterboy for sales. Already sending 4x what was hitting japan was the first sign, and cutting the japan launch is the next. I'm pretty sure, if the launch number decreases again, japan will see the bite, rather than the us.

You could just as easily ask what the driving force for getting a 360/ps3 would be. You're just playing he same games w/ roughly the same controls, except for better graphics and ai.

Its good to know its not just me. I'm pretty new to madden in general (snagged '05 for like $7), but it seemed like manually controlling anything on defense was futile, the ai players will do a more reliable job. I just try to sack the qb with whoever seems reasonable.

from what i've read, you get the ms warranty form in your 360 box. I think it's $60, and it covers it for 2 years. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the MS warranty will cover ALL repairs to your system, while places like BB is only good for 1 replacement.

Since new movies are using hdcp, doesnt that mean the $500 ps3 wont play them (no hdmi)? I thought some people were saying hdcp would barely be used in the beginning.

The gamecube had a vga cable (although it was japan only, but i'm sure you could import it).

watch for artifacts in different games. Usually, the system will just crap out on you, but some people get artifacts in their games before it goes completely. There may be other things too.

I'm planning on hooking my fw900 up to an xbox360 and a mac mini. I plan to use the vga cable for the 360, and a dvi to bnc cable for the mini. Would there be any problems with that? Does anyone know if I'd be able to use the intel mini at 1920x1200@85hz? This is the cable I plan to buy

Has anyone here had this monitor die on them? There seem to be stories of people recieving bad ones, but have any here had theirs just stop working after a while? Mine seems ok, but I'm starting to worry that i'll lose it one day :(
