thanks for the info, so after calibration the difference between a tn and ips is just 0.3, thats not much difference.

yes i have a 3 years old S-PVA Dell 1703FP, i am going to buy another one and i am not sure whether i should get a S-IPS panel if it cant distinguish dark colors, i watch a lot movie "dark" movies.

currently all 22" are from chimei, acer, viewsonic all 22" uses the same panel.
