Yeah, these aer a nightmare to fix properly. Reball is the only way and they were not designed for this to be anywhere near a routine procedure. Not that it can't be done, it just is not easy or for the faint of heart.
Still though I am getting quiet a few DL's of the various files. I'm just...
This is an old thread, While not much in the way of traffic here I was updating my web server and see that there are still some using those xt5000t files. Issues aside this system seems to have lasted some quite a long time.
I am running a Q9200 in a P79xx @ 2.93 GHz. This provides a 260m and 1920x1200. I have experienced no bottle necks at aal for my sue. I have the I wants for upgrading but definately not the I needs.............................
When ever you flash you risk bricking the system. Whether you flash up or down this is true. You should have investigated other avenues before down flashing. If the CPU is stuck it most likely was the fact by flashing the chipset drivers etc couldn't operate ACPI properly. Personally I would...
Don't know if the 5300 conversion is a good idea or not. The reason is the 5300's 8600Go was suppsoed to be the card version with the major issues. Wierd though the 5000's and the 7600Go were then ones dying readily...................
Maybe this will do it for you, not sure if that is the same driver you were talking about..........

Edit;
Alot of sites are mentioning drivers for the...
I'd do the same but I raided two 160GB 7200 drives. If the machine fails there would be no way to retrieve the data. I'd have to break the Raid0 first etc. Guess I'm too lazy knowing the machine will die at some point.
This is why I haven't passed mine down. It seems that at some point they will die. I can't hand it down in good faith knowing it is a machine destined to fail.
A really long shot if you want to try it. The Wireless has been known to conflict with the viideo, try removing it and at power up press and hold the power button until it shuts off to remove the wireless from cmos. Boot without the wireless card to see if it returns to normal. Like I said a...
I am glad I got a new laptop. While mine still boots I don't trust it at all. It was nice while it lasted but oh well, live and learn as they say. At least I got my 18 months of normal use before upgrading. I just can't alow someone to inherit it...............
To reset cmas when you power up while bios is attempting to initialize press and hold the power to stop the bios from full post. This clears the cmos and what was need to get the persistent esources of the atheros card cleared..........
Edit; I had to do this to get my card to work...
the bios for the XT5000T is on my page here at http://www.pcambrosia.com/xt5000t/ . It creates a bootable CD with the ISO image (non-raid bios XT5000T) I don't know if there was one specifically for the XT5300T though.........
Edit; I went back to the FTP site but couldn't even find the...
Yeah the dirvers individually as the files and folders would be on your HDD after a reinstall with their recovery disc but nothing for bios etc..........
I think it wasn't meant as a support FTP but rather a file archive for the original install folders included on the OS imaged drives. Not a handy thing to download. I have 1,500GB download traffic allowance a month on my server so I should be able to host these. Remember people I do this for...
I am at the FTP site and downloading it all. I'll have to find out later what it all is then compress and setup some type of distrobution. Just incase FIC takes them down......
Edit;
Got the files, huge download from the FTP that was not too cooperative either. Zipped them up as Vista_X64...
You are right you can't be sure which fails just be pretty sure one of them failed. Whichever failed you can then be pretty suer the heat resettlin of the combo of both chips will cure the issue. Again though not a 100% guarenty but at least 98%.
My thoughts on this are ICD the NB to...
Staples, last week, had the U80a on sale for 599.00. Hopefully it will be again, I have BB's version the U81a and can say it is an awesome notebook for general use. also the 14" screen is easier on the eyes then trying to read the same resolution on a 12". My mom, at 74 years young, has no...
Same with my lens about 3 months after having the machine. I now once a month with every laptop clean the lens with Eclipse II. It is a lens cleaner for digital SLR's and does an absolute bang up job...........
since these are the nVidia Geforce 7600 it most likely is the video card has died. It may not be but we everex xt5000T users with go 7600's have seen many a problen with the video card.........
A quick search, there is cheaper but this has a dedicated video card meaning less video issues...........

Yeah, I saw the writing on the wall when they had all those server issues with the files. I don't think it was even a week later Everex took down the board and then the files. I am glad I was able to grab the page and files to host them. I am sure there are alot of other Everex model owners out...
Just a wild guess but if you don't hear the drive spin up then it may be damaged. If damaged to that extent the system will probably shut down to protect itself as a siezed drive draws too much power. Try powering up with the drive disconnected/removed and see if bios posts.........
Welcome, I found ICD on the CPU, Northbridge and the heat pipe land on the GPU's heatsink makes for a great overall thermal solution. Be sure to fully remove the original pads from the heat pipe over the CPU and the pads on the northbridge and heatsink land. The material Everex used is really...
you will soon see mobile I7 core laptops out. Especially after the Windows 7 release. Alot of manufacturers are holding thier new releases until then.........
If you can afford to wait just a bit do so. The Acer1410TZ will offer the SU7300 and GMA4500MHD. While the ION sounds great you must remember it is an ION LE and Atom CPU. Down the line the CPU horsepower will get you.
I have a U81a with the GMA4500 and on the 10 day trial of WoW I saw...
Hi, as I and WillyWanker had seen a while ago it can be either the GPU or northbridge and its integrated GPU. nVidia was very slick in not specifically stating it was the Northbridge but just a GPU issue.
The primary issue is even though the integrated GPU is not utlized it still is...
