I dont stick to any brand in particular. But I liked the way the 3090 strix looked compared to everything else when I bought them. The G15 laptops was an incredible value (during covid times) and performed well which is why I bought one for myself and one for my nephew, same with the 3090 Strix...
Asus designs some technically and aesthetically good products but recently their manufacturing or QA of their products have been quite horrible. I have stopped buying Asus products recently because they have all seemed to fail. 2x 3090 strix, 2x G15s of different model years and an Asus Loki 1kW...
I have a Galaxy Fold 4, a recent update re-enabled bixby and a few other services and apps that I disabled. Ran through my battery life like crazy. I had to google to find out what was going on, it was using 60% in 2-3 hours idle. Battery page wasn't even showing anything unusual but it was a...
The 4090 is effectively cheaper for most people than the 3090 was. A big part of the 3090 life cycle was during the tariff, only evga was below 2k during the tariff period. I paid $2200 for my Asus Strix. My MSI Suprim Liquid X was only $1750. Im not even factoring in inflation. I would need the...
I'm a little paranoid because I routinely have maid service come over. I have cameras all over the house and outside except the bathrooms. I guess I will never have to worry if this happens to me because everything will be on camera and probably have multiple angles.
I used it on my 3090 strix that died. It died 2 months before the 4090 came out, lucky me because I bought it during covid for $2200 and got $2200 back and bought a 4090 when it came out. I bought the warranty on my 4090s as well just in case because it was a super easy process. Sad people...
I might if the performance boost is big enough. I haven't been playing games as often lately though. If 42" 4k 240 OLED TV or monitor comes out then that's a definite yes I am getting a 5090.
My biggest problem with EU forcing interoperability is the possibility of getting spammed by whatsapp, telegram type scammers and spammers. Also don't really care about RCS, SMS works fine for those without iMessage for me.
I think its good for 4k120 for maybe a year. You cant control how devs optimize games and the game engines they use, you can only control the hardware you run it on. So far games are starting to really push the 4090 and thats really the only true 4k120 card on the market.
I mean nebell literally said unless you are using upscaling or lowering details. You are literally doing just that. The 4090 is literally borderline for 4k 120 without DLSS in a lot of games right now.
Yea the guy admitted to his boss asking him to do something and he couldn’t because he refused to have an iPhone with him. That’s literally a job performance issue, as well as insubordination and if they fired him and he fought it for unemployment benefits he would lose. He quit because he knew...
My Z fold 4 is a year old now and it’s been great though it’s my second phone I use for work and business so it’s not used as much as my iPhone. I did get the Samsung extended warranty though because it was $1800 and I did hear about issues with the z fold 3 and older.
I have to say I was not expecting the 15 Pro to be all that much better than my old 12 Pro. It feels quite a bit snappier than my 12 Pro, FaceID takes maybe half the time, battery life so far is much better and it doesn't overheat like my old 12 Pro does when I am using carplay. I am pleasantly...
Im in the US. I’ve been burned by asus motherboard rma before. But give the price of these gpus and Microcenter’s reputation on the warranty I just keep buying the extended warranty. If something happens I can drive 30 mins to Microcenter and they will give me whatever I paid for it back to me...
It really wasnt all that close to 4k120 unless I was using DLSS. Cold war was 90-110~ fps with DLSS, really not all that close to me if without it I am more the 60-70 range. 4090 for comparison is closer to 200fps with DLSS and 120fps+ without it. Havent played a ton of games lately but most of...
I was a 3090 owner who bought a 4090 but mostly because a 3090 was doing close to 4k120 on anything I wanted to play and the 3090 in my main gaming rig died.
Certainly, there will be games that drop the 4090 off the 4k120 but I think with remnant its more of bad design and optimization than it...
I feel like most 4090 owners probably wont buy the 5090. The 4090 is right at 4k120 for most games so I don't really see the need to upgrade unless the 5090 was 70%+ faster and cheaper than the 4090.
I don't follow LTT that closely and I don't follow GN basically at all so I didn't see that happen but that's a bad look again on LTT then. Guess GN took it really hard and they spent months trying to get back at LTT. Either way, neither GN nor LTT came out of this well in my eyes.
Just picked up a used dell poweredge server with 14 drive bays. Planning on using unraid to mess around but wondered which drive I should get. Is the obvious choice still the WD/hitachi drives?
Planning on getting the recertified ones from serverpartdeals.
WD/Hitachi vs Segate.
Also while I'm...
I agree with almost everything you said. I think anyone getting their information from only one source at all needs to change that habit. But as I stated earlier in the thread, the inaccuracies being called out are 100% don't really need to contact LMG about that for a statement. The billet labs...
Never seen this channel pop up into my feed before. Pretty decent take to me on it. Maybe I missed something did Billetlabs contact GN first about the whole prototype being auctioned off issue or did GN take it upon themselves to do this and nuke LMG? A lot of this just feels so Self Serving for GN.
Honestly, I'm a bit confused why a 3090ti sent to them with the billet labs block wasn't used and why they didn't use another 3090ti in case they thought maybe the 3090ti sent to them was binned or something. Why did the reviewer think using the 4090 as a substitute was okay? This whole billet...
I personally have issues with the ergonomics and the weight. Makes it harder for me to play longer sessions so most of the time Ill just play on my gaming pc.
Honestly, they didn't show too many apps yet. The screens in there are definitely up there for tech. Youtubers who have had hands-on with it say the eye tracking and hand tracking are pretty damn good, so let's see what they do when it launches. I like getting novel new tech too but unless there...
Haven't really had Asus MB issues. I had a G15 2nd gen Laptop and an RTX3090 strix fail on me last year. The good thing was I knew that if I was buying Asus I should get an extended warranty so I don't have to deal with Asus RMA.
