I'm in the same boat, wanting to upgrade my Ryzen 5 3600 to a 5XXX CPU.
Prices aren't looking too bad, but holding out to see how the 7000 series affects the second hand market.
In Houston, there are 3 locations. I guess in it's prime when they were "NEW" and competing for TV's, Appliances, PC, Printers, and all the other electronics it was good.
They must of rushed on that spike...
Microcenter is strong and only 1 store services the Houston area.

I saw it too, but that price is quite up there. I get that if they are small the manufacturing costs are probably high. Assuming they aren't shooting for a large profit margin.
Too expensive to try for me.
