Oh, the PC is meant for and plays other (mostly Glide) games with V5 RGSS AA enabled. But.... that felt like a fun little side game to get working as well from that era... lol

No, I mean turn off that PBO garbage and legit OC via voltage and multiplier the "old school" way. For example; 45x multiplier with 100 BCLK at say 1.25Vcore or something. Your milage my vary obviously, 1.35Vcore is the "accepted" 24/7 max voltage on the 5xxx, but you could probably go higher...

FWIW, you can overcome the slight dip in CPU score pretty easy if you overclock all cores. Also, make sure CPPC is OFF. What I proved, and have used for well over a year now is the absolute best way to run a Ryzen 5xxx CPU (for gaming anyway).

All-Core OC, Turn SMT off, you can max out a 4090 on a 5xxx series this way, and also remove stuttering in games. If you need the link to where i talked about this elsewhere with graphs, let me know! ;)

Doubt it unless u are failing prime95, bad CPUs cause crashes, not bad benchmarks. I'm not familiar with the 7950X3D past specs, but are you able to "all core OC" those chips like the 5xxx series? I'm sure you would have 2 different clocks with the X3D CCD vs normal CCD, but maybe ur PBO...

I'd have to run a Timespy on my 4090 with this open to compare, but assuming your 2 graphic runs are the ones with the most GPU usage, you can clearly see the GPU on "average" is probably sitting at 60~80% on both tests. I know Timespy on a 4090 is NOT the most demanding, but it IS indicating...
