I checked some manufacturer websites of hard drives and they list different things. Is average seek and average read the same thing or not? Thanks in advance.
Cheers!
If they don't drop prices, then they will lose a fair bit of customers, which in turn will be extremely hard to get back. I am sure AMD has a few things up their sleeves.
My vote, hang in there and wait for some new things to be released because you'll end up with something better for a good price unless of course you're eager to get a cpu right this instant and can't live just a bit longer with out one.
Thanks for the info guys.
I was thinking zero fill utility, but for some reason said low level format. I tried to run some other utilities on the Seagate drive and none of them wanted to work. Just flat out gave me errors. I am lucky that I managed to save some critical data off the drive...
Have you noticed photoshop running sluggishly? Have you seen it loaded and used on a system that is more powerful then yours?
The majority of people that I know that run photoshop say that they have seen a great improvement with increasing the amount of ram they have. Some have upgraded to...
I noticed that my 200GB SATA Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 drive disapears in windows when I go into my computer. I also noticed that my system freezes for a few seconds then goes back to normal when I game, and I have found that I had a write delay error when this happens. The game is installed on...
I am willing to spend at most 150 CDN, but not necersarily that much. I mainly just need it to listen to music while working at a boring job. I guess that would would mean I need something basic with little features. Anyone have any idea how quickly flash mp3 players fail? Reason I ask is...
Hi there,
I was not sure where to post this, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on MP3 players. I have read and heard that samsung and sony are pretty good. IPODS are really good, but I am not sure if I can justify the price. As well, I am not sure I would be able to fill the...
Radeon better then Nvidia is like asking if ferarri is better then lambourgini (that's my opinion). The 7800 GTX 512 is the top of the line card at the moment though as everyone is saying is hard to get. I personally like ATI.
Correct me if I am wrong but AMD is more geared for gaming and...
You're lucky that you can play single player. I cannot even get it to fire up. The funny thing is that multiplayer works, which makes absolutely no sense at all. I spent a week talking to activision and got no useful response as what they mentioned I had already tried. I was told that my...
I updated the Sata drivers and the nforce drivers. That did the trick.
I am using a zalman all copper fan (Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler for Socket 478, 462/754/939/940). It seems to do the trick. I am also using artic silver 7 or 9. I cannot remember what the last one was...
Specs in Sig. I found out that when I disconnect my SATA drive, I can actually play Enemy Territory. Before that, it would just crash and reboot. I turned off the option of it rebooting and all it would tell me is that some driver is not working properly. I am guessing that an ANTEC...
I was not sure where to post this, so forgive me if it is in the wrong place. I am having troubles when running Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. I load the game, start to play and then in a short period of time the computer reboots itself. I tried loading the game on a different...
Im waiting until the card is released and when real benchmarks are out. What Im wondering is what kind of wattage one is going to need to run the R520?
Hi there,
I have been trying to figure this one out to no avail. I am having problems with the marvell gigabit on board lan. After a while, it seems as though windows says that the driver is no installed and it doesnt work. The funny thing is that I have not done anything with it. I have...
I dont know if freebie firewalls work as well as actually going out and buying one. Im using a router, XP firewall and zonealarm. I generally turn off the XP firewall since at times I cannot send or receive files on msn. I'd make sure to have a virus scanner too.
Those grounding bracelets never worked for me. I dont know if they really do what they are supposed to, but that is just my opinion and experience. MAke sure that you arent working on carpet, or wearing a fleece or something that will create static.
Artic has a website that throughly explains...
