I have a brand new build that was on Windows 8. After many compatibility issues I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
The systems specs are as follows:
I7-3770k
Intel DZ77GA-70k
Intel 520 Series 240GB
32GB Corsair Memory
HD7970
Several 2-3TB SATA drives
I formatted and reinstalled...
I do not game at all. Strictly extreme multitasking with 4x24" monitors. Lot's of RDP sessions. Fair amount of Photoshop as well. Reliability is paramount.
I'm pretty sure the one I ordered will suffice. I've never had an issue with Startech cables in the past. The recommendations are only what they guarantee will work. Since it's clear that they can't obviously test every cable and adapter, there are plenty of cables and adapters that will work...
Ok - so to hook it up to my 2408WFP I need a displayport to mini-displayport cable...
Something like this - http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-6-Feet-DisplayPort-Adapter-Cable/dp/B002XVYZ82/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1316214907&sr=8-8
It looks like this will be my choice. What's the difference between the two you posted?
It also appears that the GTX260 is 10.5 inches http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_260_us.html
and the HD6950 is also 10.5 inches
Ok yeah - I would have a monitor that support DP so that wouldn't be an issue. I use Dell Ultrasharps.
I'd prefer to just have one card and that's why the whole Eyefinity thing really caught by eye.
What brand on the HD6950?

Rig is in the sig.
I do casual gaming and do a lot of Photoshop work.
I'm looking to upgrade the GTX 260 to something with 3-4 monitor support (3x24" to start - 1920x1200).
What are some highly recommended cards at this time? $250-$300 range unless there is a compelling reason to...

Actually if you look at the text it's in red and if you read the URL it says "edit." Seeing as this is a wiki, it wants you to login to edit the install notes. Meaning...there are no install notes. So it's not supported.

Why would I buy any of those things? The Zotac MB has DVI, VGA and HDMI. I've determined that I'll probably just get a new TV. This old CRT Samsung has seen better days.
The issue really is the down converting from HDMI to component. I have found several receivers that up-convert from...
my Samsung CRT-projection TV?
I have a HTPC running a Zotac GF9300 775 board with HDMI out. I want to run the HDMI into my receiver and then output it over component and optical to my Samsung TV. My Samsung TV does not have HDMI.
Possible?

I recently got a Shuttle K4500 that had a bad MB. I was thinking of putting in a micro-itx like this in there http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500035
Will it fit?
Looking at upgrading my current pair of WRT54GLs running Tomato 1.27 with WDS for some N goodness.
