Actually in the time since I posted this thread, I figured that part out and it seems to work fine. More importantly, I want to transfer files from the PC (Vista) to the MBP (Leopard). I think it may have something to do with joining the proper workgroup? How do I do that on a Mac?

Hey, I just got a macbook pro today, and I am loving it. I need to network my Vista desktop (sig) to my new apple to be able to transfer files and things like that. I am a total mac noob, and have no idea what I am doing. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I just bought it today and I want to check out the online play, but I cant seem to connect to anyone and after about 30-45 seconds I get error 85020. Anyone able to get online? Is this a Nintendo problem, or a wi-fi connection problem?

So, Audacity can do some of that stuff, but it can not do it in real time. I have to record my voice first...that wont work. Also, I found a program called ZynAddSubFX, it can do EXACTLY what I want, but not with microphone input!! Anyone know a program similar to these two that can do real...

It is a patch...or more correctly, more content. If you double click on it to bring up hte preload screen, you can see that it is about 90% done or something, and what you are downloading now is in addition to your original preload.

I have tried about every setting on and off. Keep in mind, when I say its choppy, I am reffering only to the water. I can be getting 100 FPS, but the water movement is about 15 FPS, when every thing else is smooth as butter. Downloading 163.44 Beta drivers right now...

Do you get choppy water in the beginning? The water looked great except it stutters!! Also, I had some serious frame rate drops when alot of water was on screen at once...I think it may because I had AA on and Bioshock wont let you toggle windows while its open...so I am going to disable AA...

This is the problem. I have done that, reboot, and I get the screen again. I fix it, reboot and the driver isn't enabled again. I enable it, reboot, get the screen agan...and on and on and on...

god damn this is frustrating. I have gotten the drivers installed through Restricted Drivers. This required a reboot and an edit of xorg.conf. But, when I start the OS again, it says the driver is in use, but I still cant set my res to 1680x1050, and the display is on the wrong screen. I am...

I have been trying to OC my new DFI board. Everything is going very well, but the memory overclocking seems to be a little strange. I can boot memtest with my TCC5 memory (2x512) at 275+ MHz, 3-4-4-8. It will run all day and be rock stable. As soon as I try to boot windows, computer crashes...
