I've had my share of GTA problems, but I still love the game. Considering the complexities of GTA Online, I think Rockstar is doing a good job tackling the fixes. It's frustrating at times, but this is a complex system and it's randomness is approaching a weird AI that might need to be studied...
Yep, it's from the magazine "Mondo 2000" which was around during the early 90's. It was a real magazine, despite it's creator being named R.U. Serious.
It was a good zine, and R.U. Serious was proud that the very name of it had an expiration date.
The links Spare-Flair posted to the Crysis 1 mod screenshots say it all.
Anyone impressed by Crysis 2 probably also just discovered fire. Hey, let me tell you guys about this "wheel" thingy I ran across the other day! Amazing!
In order to overclock with this board, you need to move a jumper that sits just next to the digital display for debug codes. This is at the end of the PCIe/PCI slot. A double slot PCIe card will obstruct the jumper, so switch it out before installing a card there.
cheers
I realize this thread is a bit old, but I too was looking for info on this board and found very little. I decided to purchase the board and have been very happy with it. Here are some observations:
9300 heatsink is actually pretty tall and looks like it may get in the way of wide CPU coolers...
Well gee, thanks for the Chip Fab 101 lecture. Too bad it's all been said a dozen times on this thread (did you actually read all the posts? It seems people aren't doing that). And not to mention the fact that I NEVER CONTESTED that the 3400 and 6800GT were physically the same chip, off the same...
Actually, if you bothered to completely read through my posts, you would notice that at no time did I ever mention that performance was superior, and even pointed out that for games it will definitely be slower. As for functionality, unless someone wants to send me their 6800GT to softmod and...
What exactly am I wrong about? I see no evidence that any of my statements are incorrect. OK, maybe you DO have a card that is dual-link DVI capable, but you never disputed that. I'm sure the grammar police can pick apart something in my sentence structure, but that's why I'm an artitst and not...
Wow, if you hate HardOCP so much, you should complain about your dual-link TMDS lacking-ass some other place. ;)
I hope you enjoy living in the low-margin, because you look kinda silly from waaay up on my high-margin 3400 card ivory tower.
Seeing as that I have an SLI capable mobo, I...
Where exactly in my post did I mention MIXING two types of rendering? Does anyone actually read an entire post before replying? To be even more specific, Alias Maya supports a hardware render feature. Rendering is done with the video card. Check it out here...
I guess you didn't notice I stated HARDWARE RENDERING. This a feature in some modern 3D apps that allow rendering to be done by the GPU. The current crop of video cards have a lot of functionality and the GeForce/Quadro cards have more transistors than most CPU's. Hardware rendering taps this...
Mr. Tinkz0rz,
Performance-wise, you are absolutely correct. FUNCTIONALITY is my point. But, you go ahead and get yer cheap little card. Don't come crying to the forums when your hardware renders don't turn out right. I'll admit the price of the Quadros is excessive merely for getting different...
Get x2 Opteron 250. When AMD releases their dualcore parts soon, you will be able to swap out the single core with the dual core (can't do it with the intel setup because of pin count).
Get nForce 4 pro mobo, this will allow you to get SLI goodness with those dual QuadroFX 4400's, which by...
Sorry Mr. Tinker, you are wrong. I suggest very highly that you read this: http://www.pny.com/support/downloads/quadro_geforce.pdf
Yes, these cards are more than double the price of their gaming counterparts, but essential if you use pro apps like Max or Maya.
I used gamer cards for years...
I've installed the Beta 4.9 Cats. I didn't try it before I installed those, so maybe thats the problem. What is the Fill to screen thing? Is that a Doom 3 setting or a driver setting?
Dang, that looks like its gonna r0x0rz. Have you purchased/seen any of the DVD movies available in the WMV HD format? I just bought Step Into Liquid and its totally amazing...
The new ones(they match the new G5 look) are supposed to have a pixel response time of 16ms accross the board. After using it with Far Cry, Doom3, and Vice City I fully support their claims. I will say it isn't flawless though. There is an occasional hiccup every so often, like a buffer...
I just tried using the settings mentioned in the beginning of the post and unless i set the resolution to the full resolution of my display (1920x1200) it only fills up part of the screen vertically. In other words, lets say it put in the 1280 x 800 res, it only fills 800 pixels of te screen...
