i wanted to make a back up copy of one of the dvds i own so i downloaded dvd-shrink to do so.. everything worked fine until it asked me to insert a blank dvd.. i put in a memorex dvd-r recordable and it said disc in drive unrecognizable.. i tried a few of them so it wasn't an issue with one...

nope, SP1.. im downloading it again.. still puzzles me though

so i took the plung and downloaded sp2.. it was downloading under the windows update icon in my task bar..the icon disapeared so i assumed it was done and i was not prompted with anything so i restarted.. again nothing came up.. what the hell happened?

the only thing holding me back from sp2 is the firewall, i rather not have one conflicting with norton internet secuirty.. can it be turned off?

is it worth it? will the windows firewall conflict with the norton one i have?

i have a cd burner and a dvd burner, how do i copy a dvd? because when i put the blank dvd in the dvd burner drive and the dvd in the cd burner drive, my software (sonic record now) doesn't recognize the dvd in the cd burner drive

maybe my version already had those patches because i just got it this week

i havent installed any patches, i just bought the game a couple days ago and i tried it without the cd and it worked, i just thought that was strange cuz the manual told me i needed it

i have the dvd version of the game, in the manual that came with the game, it says you have to have the play disc in the dvd drive to play the game.. but i can play without it being in there.. so is the manual lying to me or what?

i had my internet setting as "cable/isdn" i switched it over to "LAN" and it seems to have fixed this issue
