I purchased an HP LP3065 off of ebay, new in box (not refrub) for $1025 shipped with the 3 year warranty. I felt it was a bit risky, but purchased from someone that had sold quite a few of them on ebay and it worked out. Beautiful monitor!
HP LP3065 from ebay, make sure you get it with the 3 year warranty. It's cheaper then the DELL 3007WFP-HC usually, but has more inputs and possibly better quality control. I've had one for 1 month now and can't recommend anything else.
Yes the HP is IPS, uses the same panel as the DELL 3007-WFP HC.
I got mine for $1025 shipped from Ebay (user: digitalave), it was new in box with the 3 year warranty. I think it retails for $1300-$1400 on HP's site. I've seen some go for as low as $800 without a stand. There are a few up...
I finally was able to give my HP LP3065 a run last night with COD4, it's amazing. The monitor doesn't have any dead or stuck pixels, color is uniform, no backlight bleed. The only negative is a bit of shimmer on white backgrounds, this is normal for the 30" IPS panels from what I understand...

Hi Karl,
The monitor has arrived, but I haven't been able to run it yet :( I just completed putting together the new workstation and I'm now waiting on Windows Vista to download from Technet so that that I can load an OS. Right now I don't have a system with Dual Link DVI until the new...
If you are interested in the DELL 3007WFP-HC, you may consider the HP LP3065. The price is a bit more, but I've seen several new ones with 3 year warranties being sold on Ebay for around the price of the DELL.
I've got one coming in this week and will post what I think when I have had a...
I've got the HP LP3065 coming next week, will post some thoughts when it gets here. Primary use of it will be development with a secondary use for gaming.
It's pretty standard for retailers and manufacturers not to allow returns of monitors with a certain number of stuck / dead pixels. The policies are usually based on the number of stuck / dead pixels and where they are in relation to each other. I wouldn't call the other guys corrupt frauds...
I'd exchange it. I went through 3 exchanges before I got the "perfect" LCD. Not really looking forward to doing that again, but a second LCD is needed :)
Definitely authentic, I ordered 3 of the 2U cases/mobos from them 2 weeks ago and they showed up in 3-4 days. Not sure why they have an IP address for the website, but the site is owned by MSI and if you call in your order you will reach MSI.
My order for 3 showed up last week. Looks like a nice case, 6 hotswap drive bays, also includes sliding rails. Still deciding what to use these for :)

Thanks Robstar, appreciate the post. I ordered 3 of them... will make nice platforms to build some more 2U servers. I built 2 Intel boxes based on the SR2300 and SE7500WV2, they have been rock solid. These appear to be very similiar, but made by MSI.
If you haven't ordered yet and you are looking for 2-2-2 ram, check out Crucial PC3200 Ballistix. I had no issues setting this memory up at the fastest timing on my Neo2 939 board.
This is what I just built:
AMD 3500+ 939
MSI K8N Neo 2 Platinum
2 x 512mb Crucial PC 3200 Ballistix
1 x 74gb 10K WD Raptor
Liteon 16x DVD Reader
PNY Geforce 6800GT
Audigy 2 ZS Gamer
Chenming 602 Case
2 x Vantec Stealth 80mm fans
2 x UV Cold Cathodes

I just built an AMD 3500+ with the Neo 2 and I'm using 2 x 512mb PC3200 Crucial Ballistix 2-2-2-11-1T. I have not done any heavy testing yet, but during normal use it works and is stable.
Thanks a lot for this post! I had just picked up a Viewsonic Viewmate slim keyboard at Fry's for $39.99, but the layout was not ideal. The layout on this keyboard looks much better, but continues to use the laptop keys like I want. I ordered 2 for the price of 1 viewsonic, just in case I'm...
I had a similiar question as well. I'd like to order the Ballistix 3200, but they are out of stock at Crucial right now. However they do have the PC4000 in stock at CL 2.5 for only a few more $$. If I run it at PC3200 speeds should I be able to hit: 2-2-2-6-1T without issue? Is it only when...
Thanks again for posting that info. I would really like to get a 6800GT with Dual DVI, so I have been researching this Gainward golden sample. I emailed gainward today and they said no Gainward GT card comes with Dual DVI. I would really like to get to the bottom of this, so if you could post...
