I am dying to get my card in and would love to see benchmark scores of overclocked cards, especially the 7900gt. This will also give a good insight as to the overclocking ability of the cards.

Lets keep this thread though for comparisons amoung brands and such so that we can see if the factory-overclocked cores and worth it and what the non-overclocked stock cards can reach. Great results too.

3dmark03: 18888
3dmark05: 9366

GPU at "stock" speeds.

Max overclock = 570core, 1800 mem using coolbits

xfx 7900gt xxx edition

7900 GTX SLi

3DMark06 = 8726

Seems kind of low!? 1280 X 1024 with the free version. I scored this breakdown:

SM 2.0 = 4136
SM 3.0 = 4141
CPU Score = 1849

I'm running an Opty 175 @ 2.5, memory at 237 MHz. I always score in that range with this CPU for some reason.

7900 GTX (XFX Factory OC @ 675/1700)

3DMark 05: 10,481
3DMark 06: 5,148

(with an Athlon 64 4000+)

Card temperature is currently 43 degrees (idle), how do you measure the load temp? Run 3DMark and then just check the temp straight after its finished..?

All I've got round to so far...

Just a few quick test runs: (System in sig)

7900GTX's in SLI

Stock
3dMark06 = 8787 (4124 / 4139 / 1904)

700 / 1700
3dMark06 = 8896 (4147 / 4284 / 1890)

CPU @ 2.6 & 710 / 1750
3dMark06 = 9026 (4266 / 4232 / 1950)

run a program called rthdribl (google it) in full screen with the nvidia temperature monitor in view.

Is anyone else as blown away by the performance of these cards as I am!??! I can't believe that at full load (I have rthibl full screen 1680 X 1050), I'm pulling 48 FPS avg. and the cards are only at 65*C! Friggen AWESOME!!!

2 BFG 7900GTX in SLI...

3DMark03 = 34969
3DMark05 = 12277
3DMark06 = 8052 (?)

This with crappy ram, 4*512mb corsair value, i did order some corsair 2*1GB 3500LLPRO with the cards, but as i have to remove mobo to take off my zalman 7700 cooler which is too large for the LLPRO to fit (got cnps9500 also) then i'll wait a couple of days with that, right now i wanna game in the weekend.

It seems those with 7900GTX in SLI doesnt max out the cards in 3DMark06, looks like it's CPU limited, look at the system setups, at 2.5ghz the score maxes at around 8700, at 2.6ghz at 9000 marks, i got 4400+@stock 2.2ghz with crappy ram and get 8052.

So room for upgrading CPU if ya got SLI 7900GTX :D

Horray! Finally hit 9,000. Just had to tweak my CPU overclock some, I think I still have some headroom left in this Opteron.

3DMark06 = 9,016

SM2.0 = 4252
SM3.0 = 4274
CPU = 1926

This thread is great, it really helps me collect the scores I crave.
AuxNuke that is the highest 06 score I've seen. Great job!

Ok i have a problem. What am i doing wrong. my evga 7900gtx 512 superclocked is only doing 9774 on 3dmark05

My current system.
amd 3800
Asus A8n sli premium.
2 gig zms corsiar memory
and a raptor harddrive.

This sucks for me.

Could you guys post benchmarks with all nvidia optimizations turned off? Iam intrested how big performance hit new 7900 get when these optimizations are turned off.

No flaming here, just curious since the [H] did not do it. I get the "default settings for both drivers"thing, but when possible there should be a bench also where IQ:s are on par (if possible naturally).

I don't understand why anyone would want these benchmarks. What is your point? You buy an nVidia card based on how it performs, "optimizations" and all. These optimizations are inherent to all nVidia cards. That's like saying "Hey someone road test a Corvette C6 and put donut tires on it."

in default trilinear opt is on as is anisotropic sample. you can turn them off (why?) on the performance and quality page. i get around 7500 3d06 and 13500 3d05 with 7800gt sli no overclock. so i was hoping to see close to 9000 3d06 when the 2 superclock gt's i ordered come tomorrow. doesnt seem to be in the cards, tho.
