Accelero S1 V2 ?

You mean difference between Rev 1 and 2? Its compatibility with diff cards. The AC site has more details but I know Rev 2 supports the 8800GT.

Version 1 already supports 8800GT. I, and many others are running that setup right now. The rev2 just brings broader compatibility for Radeons.

Wait what? Hmm I Guess I stand corrected. Heres the official page. I could have sworn that the S1 normal didnt support the GT last time I looked on the site. Whats weird is that the S1 r2 page specifically says that it "extends the compatibility" to newer cards whatever that means.

So uhhhh what IS the difference then?

The S1 Rev. 2 has 2 sets of mounting holes, thereby increasing the range of compatability with other cards.

Ya, the rev1 fits a 7950GT and that's the same mounting system as the 8800GT, so it fits. I have no idea which models the rev2 gains through its extra set of mounting holes.

It was in stock this morning.

I have one on pre-order over at Directron. Same price. Might be an alternative source to those wanting one.

Dang, I've been checking newegg pretty religiously and you're telling me I missed the window.

Yep, a lot of people did. Makes me assume they only got a very small quantity shipment in. Got the notice in email it was in stock, and less than an hour later it was showing OOS again.
