Terminator Salvation. Less than 4 hours of game at $60.

which is why I'll never, ever ever buy a video game based on a movie. EVERY single one of them have been awful. I learned my lesson with back to the future 2 & 3 the game :( I saved my bday money to buy that POS

I think I would have more fun watching the movie knowing it's only gonna cost me 10-20 dollars depending on my appetite...

Same here. The bad far out weight the good ones. I think ET might have been the first game based off a movie back in the early 80's. It's regarded as one of the worst games EVER. Of course having two months to develop it doesn't help.

I've learned my lesson back in the NES days. I remember countless crappy games based of the movie.

Riddick is the exception where the game was better than the movie.

I'll play this one when it's on Steam special at 5 bucks.

But does it include online play? I thought developers uses online play as an excuse to cut down the hours in the single player experience. At least that's what the excuse is for GoW and Halo.

... ok sorry [sarcasim=off]

That was based on the character and the universe and I don't think it was timed for release in the same way that normal tie-in games are, so that gets a pass.

Alien vs. Predator 2

Yeah, don't buy this game. It's basically a really boring version of Gears of War, with the same three enemies over and over. All the levels feel exactly the same, and there's no variety.

AVP games were like 5-6 years before the movies weren't they?

Yes they were (the jaguar version was amazing for it's time)

If they were designed for the movies I'm sure they would of sucked

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was actually a very good game. One of the first games I've beaten in short-order in quite some time. But yeah, I agree, most of the time they suck.

Yea Wolverine was not a bad game either. I bought the PC version though so it was not exactly 60+ it was like 30 where I bought it.

I was somewhat anticipating this game for my 360 but now it doesn't even seem worth renting. I know it's a movie game but I had my fingers crossed anyways.

This is a great, ideal rental. Awesome fun that you easily blow through inside of a day and then that's pretty much it.

Great! That means this game will go down in price quick, so it will be ok to pick up for half the price in some time on eBay or game stop.

:D

Wonder what happened to GRIN. They made the very awesome GRAW/GRAW 2 for PC and are now reduced to movie games and mediocre remakes.

The AVP games were based on the (excellent) comic books. Don't confuse them with the movie. Just saw an article on Ars Technica about the new AVP game and it looks sick. It's made by the people that did the PC AVP1 game, not the people that made AVP2. Both were awesome so I don't care either way.

umm. Goldeneye? yeah one of the best shooters ever.

fwiw the xmen origins game is kinda bad ass....

What about the fleet of games Uwe Boll has destroyed, FarCry, House of the Dead, Postal...

Ok Ok, so the games were better because the films were so terrible, but they're still better ;)

Both Alien and Predator are movies, so I figured I'd include it.

Well, yeah. Good games.

This one always comes up. It's true but how many years ago was that game now? It's definitely a rare exception, not the rule about movie games.

+1 for Wolverine! Really fun game to kill some time and some bad guys :D

Now, Raven.. About a new Soldier of Fortune

Goldeneye was teh pwn in its day. But yeah, I get your point.

Games based on movies are better than movies based on games at least.

I hope the upcoming Ghostbusters game is good like the movies and its only 30$ too.

Me too... it'd be an insult to our childhood to butcher that franchise... >=(

* crosses fingers *

As for this game... it's annoying how short they make games now... 3-4 hours and that's it... I mean, WTF??

as far as stories being short, 4 hours is pretty damn short.

but as for gears 2, i didn't feel like the story was too short at all. just saying

There's always online for playability. :p

Seriously, an online session of Tribes lasted roughly 5 to 8 hours or so on the server. And so you repeat the process the next day etc.
