Wow, Duck someone cleaned your room?!.
That is the cleanest picture I have ever seen of it. :D
The HD497s on the center channel speaker kills me every time I see it.
I guess the Gerbil needs to get some headphone action. :p

its not porn... its ripped music...i mean backups or urrrm, well yeah ok its porn ;)

currently in 2.1 (don't want to buy stands and havn't had any use for surround lately anyways)

A reciever just for some Senn 497s? Or are you hiding speakers around there somewhere?

Well the speakers are for TV and DVDs. For music, 99.9% of which is played from my PC, I use the 497s.

Nice to know a few other people are using 497's.... :D

And about the headphones around the center speaker, I do that to mine also to keep them from being too tight on my head. They're more comfortable after long periods if theyre already shaped a little wider than normal :D

Stunman, what's up with the monitor, that thing is sweet. Samsung?

497, give me 2 weeks and I am going to purchase one. I have the HD202 right now, but am selling that one for the 497, Audigy2 ZS, and I-Trigue L3500. Soon enough.

is the new 152x 16ms responce in a 15" tft is what i was lookin for and got it with this aswell as a sexy lookin screen im happy :D

ps. u cant buy them in the us yet, , and there is only 1 place in the uk stocking them....

I love my toshiba (it's faster than those RCA's....)

Those are the Sony mdr7509. They are very good headphones for what I was looking for, but I am considering getting some hd580's for when I am around the house. They are very comfortable, easily driven (like hd497), offer pretty good isolation, and good sound. They come with a screw-in 1/8" -> 1/4" which is pretty nifty, and after about a foot or two the cord is coiled (reaches about 10 feet).

The Sony mdr7506 is the next model down.

edit:

here are some bigger (but much better) pictures of my setup:

angled
straight-on

hmmm......those have a lot of noise

I wish I could say the same for right now :(

House/dogsitting for two weeks and no speaker/headphone action makes Duck a dull boy.

That is one kickass setup X86. Where did you get that PPA? I'll be contacting you in a few weeks about that audigy mod. :)

Jrmicon - Is that the Viewsonic A90f+? If so, can you bump your resolution over 1024x768 without the actually monitor flicker?

yeah, I run Windows at 1280x1024 with a refresh of 85 and have no problems, and I am someone who is really bothered by 60 and 75 refresh so I know this one is good

Lets see some more setups. Its great to see how people position surround speakers lol, mine are terrible but nothing I can do until my home theater room is done.

Hey Hidaglio how big is that screen??? That thing is amazing. Ill get pics of my speakers when I get my 2 jamo ART's back.

agentzero, i got a fix for ur tv tuner card (this is wut i did), take one of those cdrom audio cables (4 pin) cut it in 2 and solder that to the tv tuner card and plug it into the cd-in on the mobo.. now u don't have to worry bout seeing that ugly cable

Those are nice Keith but uh, would it be too much trouble to resize them?

Those are horrible to look at when they are that big :(

Or link 'em :)

here's a shot of my setup. they're Creative S700 5.1 GigaWorks which I absolutely love. they sound just as good, if not better than my previous Klipsch 5.1 Ultras that died after only having them for three months.
