Their shipping times are pretty long right now but the BFG Ultra OC's are 15% off right now for $487.86 - $5.5 shipping discount - $35 coupon code (F8ZNN2TLLRBP0R) through Dell.

The coupon is only good for 11/4. This deal makes the Ultra only about $50 more than the retail GT. The pic looks like the water block version but it may be a mistake tho.. I would make sure.

UPDATE: PRICE IS NOW $459.16 - $35 = $424.16!

That's a super hot deal. If I had the money, I'd be all over that like white on rice.

$450 is good for that card - but for a video card in general? Damn thats a lot...

"Usually Ships: 3+ Weeks"

Damn, good deal, but really dont want to wait 3+ weeks, and would be even better if it did come in the watercooled version.

Ordered one - thanks for the heads up! It's at least $130 cheaper than Pricewatch.

And the price actually worked out to $573.95 - 20%($114.79) - $35.00 = $424.16 with free shipping. Only killer is ETA on delivery is 12/24 - 12/28... That sucks.

Well, the good news is, with that long of a ship date, I'll be free to cancel up until almost Christmas if any better deals pop up between now and then. In the mean time, my 256mb 9800pro will have to keep on chugging!

Damn..they lowered the price since last night... it's now $459.16 before coupon instead of $487.86

If anyone finds out if this is the waterblock version.. let us know. the pic shows the waterblock version but doesn't say anything about it in the details.

Whoa great deal. Even if it is the waterblock version can't you take it off?

yeah.. just wondering if I have to order a hsf for it.

click through ebates.com and get another 2% back ($9).

Yeah, awesome deal...but only for people who don't need a video card in the next couple weeks. 3+ weeks shipping time is absurd; so I have to deal with going to Best Buy this week and getting a 6800GT for $4 less, after tax. :-/

I would jump all over this but the wait time is insane!!

Yeah, 3+ weeks is a little out there. I ordered one today for $449.61 shipped (damn sales tax added $25.00). We'll see what my second confirmation email says about shipping time later today/tommarrow. I used my Dell preferred account to pay for it so I don't have to worry about having problems with billing if I cancel.

y does it say that its powered by a geforece 5700 ???

Product Highlights

  • Features NVIDIA®GeForce™ FX 5700 GPU and 256 MB of DDR memory for high-quality visuals

lemme see if i can get a dtudents discount on top of that ;)

Actually, the waterblock version has it's BIOS default set at 470mhz core instead of the BFG Ultra OC default 425mhz core... [side note, BFG Ultra-oc Bios only goes up to 461mhz core]

Most likely the pic is just an error.. because I thought the waterblock version retailed with a PSU and cost something ridiculis like $600-$700 retail.

I've seen the watercooled version at Fry's in vanilla white boxes by themselves. Getting one of these for me too :)

and since it's a Koolance block, it will blend right in

how much was it at Fry's? from what I remember.. it was like $599. I wonder if it would be cheaper to get the Ultra from dell if u can wait (my order came out to $424) and plop a water block on it. Has anyone tried to remove the hsf from their 6800 Ultra OC and put a water block on it??

BFG does not make the Ultra in 470mhz anymore. The water block version you buy at Fry's is clocked at 425mhz. The 470mhz was a very limited run.

I believe lots of people have.
I'm running one of these things:
6800U 461/1200 @ 52C Tmax under load (FarCry & D3)

If anyone's had luck getting the BIOS past 461mhz plz lemme know. :D
We all know it'll do 470mhz when properly cooled.

Yes, that's the water block version in the picture. Whether that's the one you get is still the question. Great deal if you can get it.

I bought mine online from Fry's Outpost, it was in stock, and I received it a few days later.

My card clocks at 470/1100 out of the box, but I get artifacts running 3dMark05. So I back the core down a little, then upped the memory, so I'm at 451/1200.
You can read about my system and see benchmarks here.

This thing just screams, 120 FPS in Doom3, 150 FPS in Counter-Strike Source stress test.

Remember the fiascos Dell has had in the past with video cards.

you mean like the x800xt pe that i ordered back in like august that has now been delayed until the end of january? what a joke. i bought a 6800gt quite a while back, but was keeping the dell order for a friend who didn't mind waiting....and waiting...and waiting...i think i'm going to call those pricks up tomorrow and demand a further discount or they can just cancel it because this is just plain ridiculous.

but keep in mind that it was a x800xt pe edition.. I have seen a lot more ultra's than x800xt pe's on the store shelves.. even though the prices are ridiculous for both. I think (hope) that manufacturers can get more ddr3's to quench demand within 3-4 weeks.

How long have you been waiting so far? Let us know how much of an extra discount you get, if you get one that is.

I ordered this last night for $424. The 3+ weeks will give me time to figure out how to convince my wife...lol

Back BEFORE the original release date of the X800XT-PE I took advantage of the "Mesquite Texas Best Buy has 150 in stock" posts on this page and I called Steve in that store and ordered one. So I have had my PE for 5 months now. I can't imagine how much it must suck to have been waiting that same amount of time and not having it show up yet.

I thought this 6800U deal was great deal so I ordered one from Dell yesterday.

The great thing is I won't have to convince my wife at all since she want's to play EQ2. When the 6800U shows up after a couple months of playing EQ2 on a Radeon 9700 she will probably MAKE me install it immediately, play EQ2 for awhile, then drag me into the bedroom to "thank" me for spending $450 on a videocard... Gotta love it.

I can get this down to 429 something.... with my dell Big Buck coupon if anyone wants the code. Respond and its yours... meaning dont PM me for it. First one who wants it get's it.

DAMN you credit card limits!!!!!

Mines says 3-4 weeks

Check your confirmation e-mails. It's not 3 weeks. It's more like 8 weeks, LOL.

You must mean if you have to pay tax??? I got it for 424

they increased the price to 570+++ crazy...claiming its 143 dollars off retail...

Not again. Hopefully, this isn't what it looks like! At least I was just going to sell this one. I already ordered a Leadtek a400gt.
