So when does The Legend of Zelda (GCN) come out ?

Nope, they dont even have an official title yet. But I don't think its too far off, maybe late 2005? I don't mind waiting though, I'd rather have another great Zelda game like Ocarina of Time than a half-assed non immersive one. Really looking forward to this one, hoping its as good as OOT.

If they wait to long, it will prolly not come out on the GameCube. With X-Box 2 and PS3 coming "decently soon", I'm sure Nintendo has something up their sleave.

It will come out for GC, they already announced it.

I read that Xbox two was due end of this year, PS2 2006 sometime. Nintendo said it will be released very close in time (*earlier rather than later*) than M$ and Sony.

That's news to everyone, since Nintendo hasn't released a date yet. Most likely, it'll be in the fall of this year, as Nintendo's reponse to Xbox 2.

We'll find out more at E3.

That is the date that was pulled from IGN. I never said if it was correct only that IGN posted this date.

They're prolly gonna release it right before Revolution comes out to build up hype.

Which is a pretty smart move IMO.

The crowd went freakin' crazy and screamed like little girls when they were showed the Zelda video at E3 2004. Can't blame em, I would too if I was there. :D

I hope you are not saying that Wind Waker isn't immersive.... If you are, I must ask if you even attempted to play through the game... if you did, you'd know it is one of the best games on any current generation (PS2, Xbox, PC) platform.

As for the original post... it is coming out this year, and it is definitely for GC (it has been said many times by many different people working at nintendo or on teh game itself).

I loved WW, and I actually took a day off work when I first got the game to play it because I loved it so much and didn't want to stop playing it when Monday came. The new Zelda is going to be more of a realistic looking Zelda like OOT, if you recall WW was supposed to be like that and not cell shaded-- a lot of gamers were dissapointed when it came out and it looked like a cartoon (myself being one of them). OOT sucked me in more than WW did, couldn't tell ya why; maybe because it was the first 3D Zelda, maybe because it didn't look like a cartoon? Who knows, I just know OOT provided a more enjoyable experience than WW did but then again this is personal opinion.

Oh and to answer your question, I did play WW all the way through, took me about a week and a half or so and I haven't used my Gamecube much since.

Heh.. kay good... it just sounded like you were dissing WW, and I often times find myself convincing people that even though WW wasn't in 3D (like those first few GC E3 screen shots showed -- the ones with Gannon and Link, remember) the game still owns.

Yeah I like OOT more, but not because I found one more immersive than the other, just because the game was so BIG and it was the first (amazing looking) 3D Zelda game. Needless to say I do have high-hopes for this upcoming Zelda game.... until it comes out I'll just have to be satisfied with RE4 and MP2echoes.

Oh and right now i'm playing the new Minish Cap on my DS, gotta say the animation and gameplay takes me back to the old days of Zelda on SNES :) Now that game I LOVED :D

I am hooked on Minish Cap right now. I have only 1 Keystone fusion left, and I'll be damned if I can find where it is. I have this problem with all Zeldas. I don't try to beat the final boss until I have gotten everything in the game.

As far as the GCN zelda. I always preorder my games way in advance. I then proceed to forget about them until the "item shipped" e-mail arrives. Its such a nice surprise when you aren't expecting it. When I get the shipped e-mail for this game, it'll feel like I won the lottery.
