BFG, eVGA, or gigabyte 6600GT????

Don't go for the bfg. Yes, it's a very good card, but for the price you can pick up an evga 6800NU.

gigabyte 263
evga 271
BFG 283

Canadian $, on ncix.

I don't really mind a 20$ difference, but if the gigabyte is as good, I'll just get it. Is it?

well if you don't mind the extra 20 then maybe make it an extra 40, get the xfx 6800nu for $303(CAD) here. Then do the mail in rebate and it will end up being $10 cheaper than the bfg 6600gt.

I own the EVGA and love it but the BFG has the best warranty by far. Here in the states the price is quite a bit higher on the BFG 6600GT than on the other two, plus it doesn't have HDTV out. You can buy the EVGA 6600GT at Monarch for US $145 after a $30 rebate but the BFG costs $230. That's a pretty big premium in price to me. That and the HDTV is why I went with the EVGA.

Tigerdirect has the 6600GT for 220$. We have a winner :p
But is the 6800 THAT much better?

Well i got a 6600Gt turbo force edition and it performs great it comes with a great software bundle and it come at the stock speed of 515/1120 with VIVO.

what is a 6800 nu ? is it better than a 6600 gt?
it stands for 6800 non-ultra, basically just 6800. It is better than the 6600gt, since it's the agp version you have a chance to unlock extra pipelines(comes with 12 enabled, possible to have 16 enabled) and with a little overclocking you can come close to a 6800gt.
