Rumor: Battlemage and Celestial may be delayed/cancelled

It's WCCFTech, so, you know, treat with skepticism, but the claim comes from GoldenPigUpgrade who I guess sometimes is right.

This appears to be only talking about the discrete cards, not the iGPUs.

Intel Battlemage Xe2 GPUs Reportedly On Hold, Celestial Xe3 GPUs Might Be Delayed Too​

Xe2 was broken down into two distinctly different segments LPR for the integrated graphics, and HPR for discrete GPU solutions.
Arrow lake is likely delayed so that would also delay the Xe2-LPR which accompanies it.
This seems like a blatant attempt at getting clicks.

Additionally even if Battlemage was ready to ship right now, Intel should hold off until AMD and Nvidia launch their new gen cards. Put them out and they are priced too high compared to the Nvidia and AMD offerings, they have to cut prices and “discount” their parts which when dealing with distribution on stuff like this at this scale is problematic. Better for Intel to stop production of Arc assuming they haven’t already, let unsold inventory there trickle out and launch after pricing and benchmarks are known for the AMD parts and work from there.

Intel needs to develop competitive GPUs as a matter of survival at this point, so I would say the chance that Battlemage and Celestial are cancelled is basically zero. A delay is believable, but not a cancellation.
