So I was wondering if anyone might have a clue, because I can't for the life of me figure out what else to do: I have this old pc setup (Athlon, Asus board with Nvidia 6150...) as a TV with an equally old PVR-150. It's been working fine for years, I barely watch TV so don't need more than basic...
Ah yes, thank you, winsock is one term that was eluding me. It's been a while since I had to deal with this stuff.
And I probably should have mentioned that Vista is the OS in question. Oops.
Apologies for the hopefully unnecessary thread but... I'm trying to fix someone's computer and have very little access to the machine (a sick person in the house, long distance, can't take it with me) - so I would like to go back as prepared as I can. If anyone has any experience with this...
*edit: never mind, way to mis-read, or not read, the last part of the op... :D
SpeedFan, as much as I don't like it, will do that. As a matter of fact, GPU and core temps are the only things it will get from this mobo (no fan speeds, hdds, etc).

Now, I generally ignore trolls and will get right back to it, but I do want...
So I RMA'd a brand new laptop HDD last week, the first time for me with WD... after all was said and done, guy on the phone tells me they will send me a "re-certified" drive. Needless to say, I was royally peeved for obvious reasons - but long story short, I got the replacement drive today...
Could anyone recommend a good digital voice recorder, preferably from first-hand experience? I'd like to use it in a small classroom environment to record lectures (for the most part).
** I had a chance to use one of the Sony's midrange models and wasn't quite impressed. Used it to record an...
Probably not the smallest choices, but all things considered (including internal layout) the only 2 mATX cases that I like are Silverstone TJ-08 and Apevia X-QPack2 (and possibly Silverstone SG-02, if you can find it). Then of course it all depends on what and how much H/W you're planning to...
