I'm using the most recent version of VMWare Player and the new Windows 8 Preview. Objects on the Windows 8 desktop don't appear until I mouse over them. Do I need to change drivers or fix some system setting? The Windows 8 desktop does not seem to have the same issues, only in the new home...

Should I need to do more than allow the programs in the Firewall? I had done that and it doesn't seem to be the issue. I found it odd that when I first ran the program it didn't prompt me to allow it throught the firewall either...

I've used them on a couple builds and never noticed much difference. The problem is that it's very hard to compare without recording equipment or side-by-side comparison. Your best bet is to get some quiet fans like the Scythe Slipstreams...

Ok, so I stuck the card in another PC and it ran fine. Time to start checking my other parts. Update: OK, so I tried in my current system with a new PSU. It's not the PSU. It looks like I'm replacing a motherboard.
