Two graphics cards are better than one because I can put one in my main rig and one in my backup rig so I can play with my broke ass friends who can't afford pc gaming.

I would go for the Mountain mods case. It costs a little more but by the time you mod the Lian Li and go through the troubles it is probably worth the price difference not to mention MM cases are built very solid.
I would go for some Cloverton's or if price does not allow put just one in and upgrade later. Get some quality ram, I tend to lean toward crucial for such applications. Great price and quality. A Silverstone PSU 850watt and up. Lastly get him some nice HDD's for his space needs, I'm guessing it...
The Asus 570 SLI is $130 at newegg and $100 for the non SLI. I own the Tforce 550 and it is a good board, especially for the money. I would definitely go for the eVGA at that price as it is essentially a Foxconn board.
