None of the above, I would wait and see what is around the corner. Either wait till dell fixes the 2407 or see what the other manufacturers come up with.

Are you sure? Nvidia card users can specify a color profile in the video card drivers. That should work if you want your profile to be used in games as well.

I know it's strange, at first I couldn't stand anything above 50 either but now it looks fine when at 100. blacks are very black and whites are really white. On my a02 I find that there is not as much difference between 50 and 100 though. To get to the service menu first turn your monitor off...

I've never seen the 2405 but the 2407 case and particularly the stand is nice. The upper part of the stand is aluminum while the bottom I think is plastic. The case is nice but not in the same league as sony or apple. The panel is what's important though and it's great except for the fact that...

I ran a pantone eyeone and created a color profile. It got rid of that red push you are talking about. You end up with a little less contrast but with neutral greys. If you find me a place to upload the file I'll be happy to share. The calibration process includes adjusting the rgb setting s on...

    2407 backlight question

I didn't consider that it could be a defect. Can anyone with a rev02 comment on this? Is your brightness set to 100?

    2407 backlight question

I just recieved my replacement 2407 (rev02) from dell. The first one I got was a 00 but it did have the updated firmware that fixed the banding problem and text blur. There is a huge difference between the brightness of both panels. It seems that the backlight in the older version is much...

Trustedreview said: "The information regarding the 6-bit panel came directly from Dell's European Product Manager. I too was surprised, as I expected the panel to be based on the Samsung 244T. I will double check this with him in case he has made a mistake on this." link Is it possible...

If you had read the whole thread you would know that has already been done. look here: page 2 With both monitors at 60hz the lcd was actually about 1ms faster then my crt. With the crt at 75hz the lcd was between 20-35ms behind the crt. The 2407 has no input lag other then the inherent...

Right, that makes total sense, but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that what input lag is all about? The difference between what the video card renders and what the screen is displaying. In other words how much are we losing by playing on a 60hz lcd vs a 100hz crt. If we are just talking monitor...

I ordered mine on the 7th and it arrived today. First thing I did was look at the label...Rev 00. I'm a little disappointed that Dell is still sending customers faulty equipment. Hopefully I can get my hands on an A02 soon. The good news: It's a nice screen, even with the banding problem...
