Ok now I think I know how to calculate.
When FSB is at 333 and ram is at 667 its at 1:1 BECAUSE 667 is DDR so its really 1333. The FSB has a multiplier of 4 so it equals 1333 and 1333/1333 is 1/1 or 1:1.
When the ram is at 800 its really at 1600 and the FSB is still at 1333 and 1333/1600=0.83...
Ok. So right now since its at 5:6 that means its running at 800? If I put it at 667 that means it wont run as fast as it is right now right? Looking at it x:y wouldnt it be best if y was high as possible?
Yes I have f8a installed. I saw those 3 options and right now just EIST is disabled. Youre saying disable c1e also? Will that not cause the cpu to downclock when idle?
So I ran CPUz recently and it said the cpu was running at 2GHz even while UNDER LOAD. So I turned off EIST in bios and now it changes like its supposed to but now it seems the performance isnt as good. I dont know what im doing, what should all the settings be for this thing to work right?
Ok this is really weird. I took some super pi readings for 512K at @ 3GHz it was around 15sec to do it. Then I went and set everything back to how it was before and ran it again. It did it in 10.8 seconds. What the hell is going on here?
Edit
This is on Vista64
And if I do the XS bench with...
What do these do? I would still like it to downclock when the cpu is idle.
Edit
Ok I went in and disabled those and now its showing as 3GHz. I cant believe I never saw this before. And why was it not changing to 3GHz in the first place?
