Eagerly awaiting the unveiling on the 29th. I have been riding the Note 2 for a long time now. Was going go to last years Nexus 6 this summer but will wait to see what the new 6 really is before deciding between the two likely.
I got my eye out for the new N6, really hoping the rumors of 3500mah battery and Snapdragon 820 are true. Very much doubting the 820 though but we should know soon
Nice too see so many new guys in the club.
True to word I haven't touched my BIOS in many weeks now. Just in a set it and forget it mode.
I do think I'll make a token attempt to see how close I can get to 5Ghz when it gets a little colder outside. Throw that window open and see what happens. I...
Glad you're fully functional again prime.
I too spent a couple weeks dialing in the OC to its current maxim. Once you get there its time to rest on your laurels; I now haven't been in my BIOS for weeks. Set it and forget it.
YMMV of course but I got my 5650 to run 24/7 @ 4.61Ghz so I'd venture a guess that as long as you're willing to supply the voltage you stand a very decent chance at 4.5-4.6. IME after 4.2 every 100Mhz is a definite step up in terms of votlage and getting things dialed in right. Its kinda why so...
I've got a i7 920 but honestly if you are going to spend any cash on a new 1366 the best move is to get a Xeon 5650 from ebay for like $70.

Go right to your max multiplier [22] and then set BCLK to 182. That might be all you need for a 20 second solution. You might need more than default voltage, kinda a lottery on how much voltage you need for 4Ghz.
Beyond 4Ghz it gets much more involved as every 100Mhz necessitates tweaks to...
